3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Van Hell! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Zachary darts in and clinches Hell up against the cage. Zachary swings wildly with an uppercut but Hell uses good head movement to avoid it. Hell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Van Hell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Hell misses. Hell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Zachary tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hell swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hell throws out a leg kick but Zachary moves out of range and Hell only half commits. Hell throws a right and a left that both miss. Hell throws a jab but it's blocked by Zachary. Hell missing with a left hand there. Zachary was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Zachary shoots in looking for a takedown. Hell tries to sprawl out of it but Zachary keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hell, right into the meat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hell throws a push kick but Zachary slaps the foot to one side. A big left from Hell misses. Zachary wants to clinch up but Hell keeps it at a distance. Zachary misses with a wild combination.
Hell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hell throws a lazy head kick and Zachary counters with a low kick, right behind Hell 's knee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zachary checks the leg kick nicely there.

Hell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zachary counters with a shoot takedown. Hell fights it but they end up in guard. Zachary passes into half guard. Zachary controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zachary working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hell's thigh. Hell counters though and makes it back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zachary trying to control the position from guard on top but Hell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hell wants to stand but Zachary is controlling the position. Zachary sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Zachary controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hell wants to get back to his feet but Zachary is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's landed in Hell's guard. Zachary is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hell wants to stand but Zachary is controlling the position. Zachary thows a big elbow that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Hell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hell throws a sloppy head kick and Zachary cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Zachary has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hell. Hell throws a body kick the misses and Zachary decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hell's guard. Hell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zachary. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hell is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zachary is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zachary controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zachary wants to control from the top but Hell keeps moving. Hell wants to stand but Zachary is controlling the position. Zachary controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Zachary slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hell seems a little lost for a moment, as Zachary dominates the positioning. Zachary's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Zachary prevents Hell from getting back to his feet. Zachary trying to control but Hell is working from the bottom. Hell wants to stand up but Zachary is controlling him. Van Hell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zachary trying to control but Hell is working from the bottom. Zachary is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ed Zachary just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Hell lands a jab-cross combination. Hell throws a hook but Zachary blocks it. Zachary looks to land a combination. Hell sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Hell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hell keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hell throws a leg kick but Zachary checks it. Hell pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Zachary uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hell. A head kick misses from Hell. Hell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hell misses with a leg kick and Zachary counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Ed Zachary showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Zachary, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knuckles throws a big shot that misses. The fighters circling - Knuckles throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Knuckles catches Vasilyev with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Vasilyev fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Vasilyev is looking to clinch but Knuckles is avoiding it.
Vasilyev throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vasilyev doesn't manage to clinch there - Knuckles circles away.
Knuckles misses with a double jab.
Knuckles misses with an uppercut. Vasilyev saw that one coming. Knuckles pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Vasilyev takes the fight into the clinch. Vasilyev breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Vasilyev blocks a jab. Vasilyev is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Vasilyev shoots for a double leg takedown but Knuckles sprawls well. He's pushed Vasilyev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Knuckles blocks a head kick by Vasilyev.
Knuckles throws an overhand right that lands on Vasilyev's shoulder, as Vasilyev tries to avoid the shot. Knuckles fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vasilyev tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knuckles paws at him with a jab and circles away. Knuckles lands with a right and another and another! Vasilyev is in big trouble! Knuckles lands again and this time it's lights out for Vasilyev! A quality knockout there for Knuckles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Never Faulter loads up on a big right hand but Guerrero slips the punch. Walter Never Faulter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Never Faulter waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Guerrero. A swing and a miss from Never Faulter. Guerrero uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Never Faulter. Never Faulter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Never Faulter throws a jab when Guerrero was well out of range. A punch combination from Never Faulter misses. Never Faulter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Never Faulter misses with an uppercut. Guerrero saw that one coming. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Never Faulter with that takedown attempt. Never Faulter gets a takedown into half guard. Guerrero is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Never Faulter has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Never Faulter raining down shots from the mount! Never Faulter looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Never Faulter working the ground and pound effectively.
Guerrero keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Never Faulter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guerrero tries to lock up and control but Never Faulter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Guerrero is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Never Faulter looking to control but Guerrero is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The referee warns Guerrero that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Never Faulter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Guerrero can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Guerrero takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Never Faulter prevents Guerrero from getting the reversal. Never Faulter looking to finish Guerrero with some ground and pound. This is bad for Guerrero! Never Faulter breaks from Guerrero's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Guerrero is rocked! Never Faulter controlling his opponent. Guerrero is still in real trouble! Can Never Faulter finish him? Never Faulter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Guerrero for as long as he can get away with. Guerrero tries to hold on but Never Faulter pushes him away. Guerrero seems to have recovered his senses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guerrero might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Never Faulter kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Never Faulter unloading with bombs! Guerrero is working to get back to half guard.
Guerrero looks gassed! Guerrero tries to hold on but Never Faulter postures up. Never Faulter lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Never Faulter raining down shots from the mount! Never Faulter pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Never Faulter prevents Guerrero from getting the reversal. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Never Faulter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Edel throws a right and a left that Podrezov avoids nicely. Edel throws a body punch but Podrezov moves out of range. Podrezov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Edel stalks Podrezov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Podrezov's face. Podrezov staggers backwards, shaken. Podrezov misses with a body kick. Edel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Edel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Podrezov keeps working. Edel is looking for a kimura. He might have it! That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Podrezov misses with a body kick. Podrezov misses with a low kick.
Edel moves out of range of the body kick. Podrezov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Edel at a distance.
Edel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Podrezov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Edel throws a nice looking combination but Podrezov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Podrezov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Podrezov stuns Edel with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Podrezov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Edel. Edel throws a right and a left that Podrezov avoids nicely. Nice shot lands for Podrezov. Podrezov goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Edel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Edel wants to control but Podrezov is keeping him busy. Podrezov wants to control but Edel postures up. Edel landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Edel dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Edel looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Edel throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Edel wants to take his opponent's back but Podrezov doesn't allow it. Podrezov sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Podrezov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Edel trying to control the position from guard on top but Podrezov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Podrezov wants to sweep but no luck. Edel wants to pass the guard but Podrezov is keeping the position. Edel is sitting in close to Podrezov's body. Podrezov has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Edel is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Edel is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Podrezov.
