3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trevor Tuffs! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Tuffs or perhaps it was just good defense by Jihad which made him look bad. Jihad lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tuffs backs up against the cage.
It looks like Trevor Tuffs has been cut. Jihad throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tuffs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jihad as he jumps to the side. Tuffs scores with a push kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tuffs. Jihad tries to bench press Tuffs off him but Tuffs keeps the position. Jihad is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tuffs asserts his dominance and retains side control. Tuffs tries for a kimura but Jihad is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jihad can't do much from the bottom here. Tuffs tries to move to mount but Jihad blocks the move with his legs. Tuffs wants to control but Jihad is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jihad managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Tuffs.
Tuffs wants to control for a moment but Jihad uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Tuffs is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jihad pulls his head out easily. Jihad wants to take a breather but Tuffs is having none of it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Tuffs throws a head kick but Jihad moves out of range.
Jihad keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Joey Jihad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevor Tuffs. Jihad shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tuffs's guard. Tuffs looks gassed! Jihad wants to stand but Tuffs has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Tuffs keeping full guard, as Jihad tries to pass. Jihad showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tuffs keeping moving, preventing Jihad from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tuffs has a closed guard, preventing Jihad from standing up. Jihad trying to control but Tuffs is working from the bottom. Tuffs lands a good elbow from the bottom. Jihad looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tuffs lands with a nice combination. Jihad backs away looking to recover. Tuffs scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Jihad fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jihad thows a left - swing and a miss! Tuffs looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jihad lands a jab to the nose. Jihad takes a swing at Tuffs's ribcage but misses. Nice shot by Tuffs. Tuffs clinches. Jihad tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tuffs smiles and moves away.
Jihad tries to bum rush Tuffs with a series of wild strikes but Tuffs uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tuffs avoids the body shot from Jihad.
Tuffs throws a front kick that sends Jihad stumbling back into the cage. Tuffs throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jihad cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tuffs gets the takedown into side control. Tuffs scores with a couple of short elbows. Tuffs working the head and body with strikes. Jihad is trying to control Tuffs's posture but Tuffs avoids it. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Tuffs tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tuffs advances to mount. Jihad is in all sorts of trouble here.
Tuffs swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jihad is now in Tuffs's guard. A big mistake from Tuffs there, giving up the dominant position! Tuffs looking for a sweep. Not yet Tuffs, not yet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jihad passes Tuffs's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jihad stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Tuffs to get to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trevor Tuffs dominated that round. The cut man is working on Trevor Tuffs's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jihad cracks Tuffs with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Tuffs displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jihad throws out the jab. Tuffs moves forwards but Jihad connects with a nice, crisp jab. Tuffs avoids the head kick by Jihad.
Tuffs misses with a takedown attempt - Jihad sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jihad throws a lazy head kick and Tuffs counters with a three punch combo that has Jihad backing up. Jihad nods at Tuffs to acknowledge the strikes. Tuffs takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tuffs takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jihad shoots in for a double leg but Tuffs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tuffs closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tuffs trying to control the action but Jihad is working from the bottom. Jihad wants to get back to his feet but Tuffs is dominant here and he's now got Jihad's back! Tuffs wants to finish this one by submission but Jihad is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tuffs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tuffs unloading with bombs!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tuffs has hold of Jihad's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jihad manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Tuffs moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jihad has worked his arm free - good work by Jihad!
Jihad defending against the ground and pound. Jihad is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Jihad moves into full guard.
Jihad pulls Tuffs in close to his closed guard and prevents Tuffs from doing any damage or advancing position. Jihad wants to stand and escape but Tuffs is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tuffs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tuffs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jihad manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tuffs manages to get himself to full guard.
Jihad trying to control the position from guard on top but Tuffs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tuffs bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jihad's guard. Tuffs passes Jihad's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jihad is looking for a sweep. Tuffs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tuffs throwing shots but Jihad is blocking nicely. Tuffs thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Tuffs lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Tuffs frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jihad is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Jihad has left one of his arms exposed and Tuffs doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Jihad screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Godbey is looking to slow McIntosh down with leg kicks. McIntosh stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Godbey . A left and a right from Godbey both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Caleb McIntosh has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McIntosh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Godbey circles away. John Godbey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McIntosh shoots in but no luck this time. McIntosh takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. McIntosh looks gassed! Godbey instigates a clinch. Godbey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

No joy there for Godbey , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McIntosh tries to clinch up but Godbey circles away and keeps his distance. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Godbey ! McIntosh is out on his feet! Godbey rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - McIntosh is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! McIntosh is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Brown sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Brown tries a head kick but it misses.
Sanchez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brown moves away. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A slapping body kick lands there for Brown. Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brown connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Sanchez to the floor! Brown dives in looking for the finish!
