Starks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Starks lands in his opponent's guard. Fraser controls Starks momentarily but Starks frees himself. Starks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Starks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fraser seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Fraser lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Tony Starks has been cut. Fraser tries to clinch up but Starks circles away and keeps his distance. Donald Fraser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Starks drives through with a takedown into guard. Starks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Fraser is trying to keep Starks in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Starks gets back to half guard. Starks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Starks. Starks had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fraser is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Starks Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fraser's back instead. Fraser trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Fraser biding his time here by controlling the hands, looking to escape. I really don't envy Fraser right now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fraser trying to control the action but Starks just sinks the hooks in. Fraser really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Starks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Starks working for a choke but Fraser is defending well. Fraser is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Starks looking for the RNC. Starks has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Fraser! Can he survive? No! He's out! Starks gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Alves throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Staal stumbling backwards into the cage! Staal bounces back off the cage towards Alves, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Alves lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Alves celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Horrible takedown by Ferguson or perhaps it was just good defense by Reser which made him look bad. Ferguson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
