Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Marcel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New York Strangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcel's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, city of angels. New York Strangler told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Strangler throws a right and a left that Marcel avoids nicely.

Marcel is looking to slow Strangler down with leg kicks.

You can see the frustration on Marcel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Marcel is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Strangler asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Strangler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Strangler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jesse Marcel.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marcel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Shamrock seems to have locked his on tight now - Plezts screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Shamrock, as he picks up the win!

Calhoun waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Strife.
