 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valchek closes the distance and clinches up with Brooks, looking for a takedown. Valchek pushes Brooks against the cage but Brooks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Valchek misses the jab.

Valchek Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Brooks's back instead. Brooks just trying to survive but Valchek is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Valchek lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Brooks hold on?!

Tucker tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Alves counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Tucker's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Alves avoids a punch combination nicely.

Montego had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Campos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Montego Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Campos's back instead. Montego is landing with strikes from the back. Montego lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Campos.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Campos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Campos is breathing heavily. Montego will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Montego throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Campos. Campos misses with a straight right. A big right from Campos misses. Montego misses with an uppercut. Horrible takedown by Campos or perhaps it was just good defense by Montego which made him look bad. Montego steps into range and cracks Campos with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Campos flops backwards and Montego dives into his guard looking to finish!
 Campos is rocked!
 It looks like Oscarito Campos has been cut. Montego is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Oh Campos is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Montego sitting in guard here, content to control. Campos seems to have got his legs back now.

Vetchnikov gets caught flat footed, as Larson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Vetchnikov wants to sweep here but Larson controlling him for the moment. Larson is looking to work some ground and pound but Vetchnikov has wrist control. Larson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Larson postures up.

Larson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vetchnikov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Larson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vetchnikov tries to avoid it but Larson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vetchnikov to the ground. Vetchnikov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Larson shoots in and drives through. Vetchnikov sprawls well. Vetchnikov cracks Larson with a right hand to the side of the head. Larson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vetchnikov as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Larson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Larson tries to clinch there but Vetchnikov circles away.

 It looks like Andre Walters has been cut. Paha scores with a nice head shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Paha cracks Walters with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Paha has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Walters to stand back up!

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Walters looks gassed! No luck for Walters with that takedown attempt. Paha wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Walters takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Walters will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Paha lands with a hook. Walters tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
 That has opened up Andre Walters's cut even more. A decent looking body kick lands there for Paha. Paha feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Walters sprawling to the canvas! Walters rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Paha finish him?!
 The cut above Andre Walters's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Paha moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Walters goes down! Can Paha finish him!? Walters is still in real trouble! Can Paha finish him? Paha is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Paha lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Walters seems to have recovered his senses.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Paha looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Walters wants to sweep but no luck. Walters trying to strike off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walters can do anything to dispel that myth. Walters tries to land a sweep but no joy.
