Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Rees! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clubber Lang! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rees is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rees looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Lang feints and as Rees raises his hands in defense, Lang changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lang stays in close to Rees's body and controls the position. Lang passes easily into side control. Nice work. Lang is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Rees is looking to regain half guard here but Lang keeps moving and retains side control. Lang decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rees to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rees gets caught flat footed, as Lang shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lang preventing the sweep. Lang looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Lang gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lang takes the fight into the clinch. Lang landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Lang manages to break the clinch.
A thudding body kick lands there by Lang!
Lang fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rees avoids it really well and circles away. Rees walks into a straight right hand from Lang. Lang throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rees takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Lang scores a takedown into full mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lang has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rees's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rees is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lang controlling his opponent. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lang unloading with bombs! Rees in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Rees is in a horrible position here. Lang smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lang controlling from mount. Lang is going olschool here, as he tries to force Rees to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rees shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rees is looking to get to half guard. Lang controlling from mount. Lang with a couple of short strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lang controlling from the full mount. Lang is in the full mount, landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lang fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Lang throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rees was covering up waiting for the punch and Lang finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rees knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lang on the ground. Lang stands and steps away. Rees gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Lang lands a nice looking body shot.
Lang fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rees, pushing him back against the cage. Lang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The fight moves into the clinch position. Lang works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Rees working a defensive guard here.
Lang gets to his feet - Rees follows without any prompting. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lang fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rees is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rees falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lang forces his way into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lang drops an elbow to the side of Rees's head. Lang content to control rather than advance. Lang scoring with strikes to the body and head. Still in half guard, Lang seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lang's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Clubber Lang has got the better of the ground game so far.
Despite being in the dominant position, Clubber Lang just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lang forces Rees back against the cage and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lang content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Nice elbow from Lang. Lang jumps guard and drags Rees to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Lang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rees manages to get himself to full guard.
Rees is working an open guard so Lang takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rees takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Nice sprawl there from Rees as Lang shoots in. Lang has closed the distance and engaged Rees in a clinch.

Lang pulls Rees in to control the position. Rees throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rees pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lang is keeping the position for now. Lang has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rees got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lang has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rees has managed to get both his arms back between Lang's legs - danger averted. Lang has a closed guard, preventing Rees from standing up. Lang manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rees taking shots to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lang sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clubber Lang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Lang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rees as he jumps to the side. Rees tries to clinch but Lang is having none of it. Lang fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lang stands and throws Rees's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lang working the body and head with strikes. Lang creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Lang controlling from side mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lang works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lang thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lang content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Rees is looking for a sweep. Rees might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lang works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Lang controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rees gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Lang landing strikes from the mount. Lang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lang controlling the position easily from mount. Rees is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Clubber Lang just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rees throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lang counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rees's guard now. Lang is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rees trying to keep a closed guard but Lang is proving a slippery customer.
Lang stands up and waves to Rees to follow him. Lang circles away from the clinch attempt and Lang counters with a three punch combo that has Rees backing up. Rees nods at Lang to acknowledge the strikes. Lang shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lang was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Lang with a couple of short strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Clubber Lang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Randlecan sprawls well. He's pushed brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Randlecan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Randlecan throws out a loose jab but brown uses good head movement to avoid it. brown is looking to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from brown is defended easily by Randlecan. brown wants to clinch up but Randlecan keeps it at a distance. Randlecan moves into the clinch. A shot in the inside from Randlecan. Randlecan misses with a punch on the inside.
brown is pressed up against the cage. Randlecan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag brown down to the mat. brown avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Randlecan rushes brown and presses him up against the cage. Randlecan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. brown avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. brown works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Randlecan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Horrible takedown by Oliveira or perhaps it was just good defense by Chiddell which made him look bad. Luck Chiddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Oliveira. Oliveira shoots in looking for a takedown. Chiddell tries to sprawl out of it but Oliveira keeps driving through. And that's the end of the fight! Fabio Oliveira comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Oliveira has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He's got his arms around Rocha's waist but Rocha gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Surman off to one side. Surman shoots for a takedown but Rocha saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Surman misses with the combination.

Harwood doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harwood manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Nash will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harwood has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Nash. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nash has good solid back control here. Steve Nash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Harwood holding both Nash 's hands and preventing any damage. Nash tries to get the hooks in deep but Harwood pushed the leg off. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nash throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Harwood defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Nash's arms. Harwood is trying to get back to his feet but Nash has full control of the position and if anything, Harwood has just worked his way into a worse spot.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Nash showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sanchez sprawls well initially but Ward persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ward is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanchez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ward. Sanchez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ward is looking for a kimura here.

No, Ward has managed to get both his arms back between Sanchez's legs - danger averted. Ward is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sanchez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ward should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sanchez has tightened it up now! Ward should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

But no, Rodrigues has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Butters but great work by Rodrigues. Butters is looking to reverse the position. Rodrigues trying to control the action but Butters is working from the bottom. Butters is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Butters gets back to half guard. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Butters is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Butters has a takedown stuffed. Rodrigues closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Butters is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rodrigues is working Butters over with some ground and pound from side control. Butters is letting Rodrigues control him for a moment.
