0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnnie Walker! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Denis could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Denis being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Denis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Walker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Denis is keeping the position for now. Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Denis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Denis's legs - danger averted. Walker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Walker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Denis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Denis is looking to improve his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Walker misses with an attempted mid kick.
Denis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Walker counters with a single leg into guard. Denis didn't expect that. Walker postures up.
Denis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Denis is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Walker dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Denis is trying to get back to half guard. Denis trying to remain calm as Walker controls from the top position. Walker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Denis keeps working. Denis wants to get back to his feet but Walker is dominant here and he's now got Denis's back! Walker lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Walker is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Denis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Denis controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ray circles away. Ray lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Acton circles away quickly and effectively. Acton shoots in but no luck this time. An inside leg kick from Ray misses. Acton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ray stuffs the takedown attempt from Acton. Acton gets slowly back to his feet. Jacob Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Acton. Good work by Acton as he checks the leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ray lands a body shot.
Acton shoots in for a takedown but Ray shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Acton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ray avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acton shoots in for a double leg but Ray sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Acton slips a jab and a cross from Ray.
Jacob Ray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Acton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ray misses with a few strikes there.
Acton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Acton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ray is breathing heavily. Acton lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ray hang on?

Acton lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Ray hold on?!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ray is taking damage to the body and head. Acton lands strikes to the head. Acton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ray is covering up but some of the strikes from Acton are getting through and doing damage.
Acton cracks Ray with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Ray from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Ray is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Acton.
Ray defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Acton's arms. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Acton looking for the choke but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Acton dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ray gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ray wants to stand but Acton is controlling the position. Acton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ray manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Acton has Ray in his guard. Acton is trying to control the position but Ray postures up. Ray has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acton will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Acton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ray manages to get himself to full guard.
Acton postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Frankie Acton has got the better of the ground game so far. Acton postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ray is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Acton, into his guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ray wants to pass the guard but Acton is keeping the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Acton holds on and takes a little breather. Acton working for a triangle but Ray defends it easily.
Ray postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Acton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Acton has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ray is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Acton. Acton holding on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Acton manages to get back to half guard. Ray misses with a head shot. Acton uses the momentum to regain guard. Ray is looking to stand up but Acton won't let him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Acton seems keen to control Ray's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Acton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Acton tries for a takedown but Ray sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ray throws a nice looking combination but Acton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ray misses with a jab, cross combination.
Acton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Acton keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ray's head. Acton with a nice head shot there. Ray wants to get back to his feet but Acton is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Acton trying to control the position from guard on top but Ray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Acton looking to sit in guard and control but Ray gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Acton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Acton manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Acton lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray is in a horrible position here. Acton smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Acton blocks Ray's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Acton prevents Ray from getting the reversal. Acton content just to control the position here. Acton landing strikes, looking to finish! Acton unloading with bombs!

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Acton unloading with bombs! Acton has control of Ray's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ray regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kleinsasser thuds his shin into the meat of lights's side. Kleinsasser bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. lights throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
lights misses with a straight right. lights misses with a hook. Kleinsasser ducked under it nicely. Kleinsasser lands a head kick. lights smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Kleinsasser fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt lights. Kleinsasser displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as lights throws out the jab. lights jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kleinsasser scores with a nice body kick.
vegas lights seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. lights is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kleinsasser. lights connects with a jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. lights throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. lights throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kleinsasser sees it coming and avoids it easily. lights looks gassed! lights misses with a series of wild punches.
Good leg kick by Kleinsasser there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kleinsasser gets a clinch. Kleinsasser has lights pressed against the ropes, preventing lights from circling away and getting back to striking at range. lights trying to stall but Kleinsasser improves his position.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kleinsasser takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kleinsasser uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from lights. A jab from lights finds it's way through Kleinsasser's defenses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A big right from lights misses. Kleinsasser throws a head kick that misses. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kleinsasser, right into the meat.

Kleinsasser misses with a few strikes there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! kilbot shoots in looking for a takedown. Castillo tries to sprawl out of it but kilbot keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Castillo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Castillo gets caught flat footed, as kilbot shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. kilbot working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Castillo wants to sweep but no luck. kilbot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Castillo swivels though and keeps the full guard. kilbot missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. kilbot throws a big right hand that misses. kilbot slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. kilbot misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Castillo slaps away a takedown attempt from kilbot, before circling back to the center of the mat. Castillo leaves kilbot with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Castillo stuffs the takedown attempt from kilbot. kilbot gets slowly back to his feet. Castillo closes the distance and pushes kilbot back into the ropes. kilbot prevents Castillo from breaking the clinch. Castillo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Castillo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Castillo is nestled in close to kilbot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Castillo is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for kilbot! Castillo prevents kilbot from getting the reversal. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin leaves Adams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Adams throws a series of punches but Carwin avoids them all with ease. Adams is looking to clinch. Carwin closes the distance and pushes Adams back into the ropes. Adams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carwin walks away with a smile on his face. Adams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Brian Adams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Adams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Adams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carwin pinned against the cage. Carwin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams misses with a body shot.

Trinidad keeps the fight on the outside. Trinidad throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease. Jones tries to clinch up but Trinidad circles away and keeps his distance. Yin seems to be working for a kimura but Hall defends the submission attempt. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Yin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Yin passes the guard and advances to mount! Yin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Yin off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Hall was covering up waiting for the punch and Yin finishes the takedown easily into guard. Yin with a flurry of punches that miss. Yin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Yin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hall is looking to regain half guard here but Yin keeps moving and retains side control. Yin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quik Yin dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hall is looking to chop away at Yin's legs. Hall takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hall tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Yin is able to avoid easily. Yin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hall! Hall is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Yin landing shots from mount. Yin with the ground and pound from mount. Yin has control of Hall's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hall regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yin wants to control the pace but Hall is squirming around nicely.

Yin works to advance to full mount. Hall defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Yin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hall can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Yin wants to take Hall's back but he can't do it this time. Hall is desperately trying to improve his position but Yin has a good base and remains in mount. Yin jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hall is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hall and Yin has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Hall stops Yin from passing to mount. Yin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hall is looking to regain half guard here but Yin keeps moving and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quik Yin dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
A telegraphed right hand from Yin misses the target. Ryan Hall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hall throws a leg kick which misses Yin's front leg but catches the back leg as Yin tries to avoid it. Yin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hall stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hall throws a predictable looking body shot
and Yin counters with a nice double leg into guard. Yin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Yin drops back looking for a leg! Hall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hall manages to kick Yin off! Yin jumps back into Hall's guard. Yin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hall has his foot on Yin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yin works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hall thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Hall throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yin passes Hall's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Yin is looking for a kimura here.

Yin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Quik Yin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Yin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hall sprawls well initially but Yin persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hall tries to roll over but Yin keeps him under control. Hall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hall. Hall escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yin forces his way into half guard. Yin is looking for a kimura but Hall is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yin to get the leverage. Hall tries to get to full guard but Yin has control of the leg. Hall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Yin is working away from the top position though. Ryan Hall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yin wants to take a breather but Hall is having none of it. Nice strikes from Yin there. Yin controlling the pace. Yin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that's the end of the fight! Quik Yin showed his dominance in that final round. Well Yin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Silva throws a nice outside leg kick. Silva closes the distance but Azevedo moves to the side and Azevedo counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that. Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Azevedo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Azevedo defends well. Azevedo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Azevedo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Silva controls Azevedo momentarily but Azevedo frees himself. Azevedo trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva pulls Azevedo in close to prevent any damage. Azevedo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Azevedo throws out the jab. Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Azevedo. That did some damage! Azevedo tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch. Silva unloads a knee to the mid-section. Silva is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. That's four minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Silva. Azevedo shrugs it off though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silva scores with a push kick. Silva chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Silva fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Azevedo. Silva closes the distance and pushes Azevedo back into the ropes. Silva is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Azevedo takes a kick to the side of the head. Crunch! Silva slams his shin into Azevedo's torso. Silva throws a leg kick but Azevedo sees it coming and moves out of range. Silva feints and then cracks Azevedo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Azevedo down. Azevedo avoids the head kick by Silva.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silva has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Azevedo off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Silva throws and low kick but Azevedo moves out of range easily.

Anderson Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Azevedo landing punches. Azevedo is going olschool here, as he tries to force Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva shrugs it off. Silva wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Azevedo tightening his grip on Silva, looking for the choke. Silva trying to control the hands but Azevedo breaks the grip.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
