Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gio Naza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Vote With a Bullet by Corrosion of Conformity. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naza slips under a jab from Savage. Naza shoots in looking for a takedown. Savage tries to sprawl out of it but Naza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Savage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Naza tries for a takedown but Savage sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Savage throws a head kick that misses. Savage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Naza really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Bunga. Bunga takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Flynn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Monster tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Monster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flynn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Monster tries to clinch there but Flynn circles away.
Flynn's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Flynn duly obliges. Flynn misses with a few strikes there.
Flynn throws a right hand that Monster ducks under and follows up with a left that Monster also avoids with ease. Flynn tries to clinch up. Monster tries to clinch up but Flynn circles away and keeps his distance. Monster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flynn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Flynn missing with a left hand there. Monster was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Bad as he connects with a hook. A bone on bone clash there as Bad blocks the leg kick.
Thunder tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Thunder walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bad checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Bad stuns Thunder with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Bad scores with a hook. Bad wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Thunder misses with a low kick. Bad blocks a low kick nicely. Bad looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Thunder takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bad thows a body shot but no joy. Bad takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Thunder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bad gets the takedown into side control. Thunder wants to control but Bad postures up. Thunder looks to move to half guard but instead Bad has passed into mount! Damn! Bad controlling the pace for now. A nice elbow there by Bad. Bad working the ground and pound effectively.

It looks like Howie Mandell has been cut. Mandell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Motorol but Motorol pushes him off and we're back to square one. Howie Mandell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mandell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Motorol swats him away and circles back towards the center. Motorol bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mandell's head backwards. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mandell. A combination from Motorol does no damage. Motorol scoring well with a low kick there.
Mandell looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! A right-left combo lands from Motorol. Mandell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Motorol sends Mandell crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Motorol is motioning to the referee to let Mandell up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

That has opened up Howie Mandell's cut even more. Motorol lands with a right and another and another! Mandell is in big trouble! Motorol lands again and this time it's lights out for Mandell! A quality knockout there for Motorol.

Patched has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Patched forces his way into half guard. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Patched connects with a nice short shot to Rutten's temple. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Patched is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Patched is trying to control the action in half guard but Rutten is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
