We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Paul Hogan.

Noonan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively.
Carter closes the distance and clinches up with Noonan, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes Noonan against the cage but Noonan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Carter shoots for a double leg takedown but Noonan sprawls well. He's pushed Carter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
