These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chichen scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Patton is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chichen pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chichen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Chichen seems to be looking for submissions.
Chichen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Chichen wants to pass to mount but Patton is defending the position. Chichen working Patton over with strikes. Patton looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Patton avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chichen. Patton is trying is best to control the position here. Chichen lands strikes from half guard. Patton flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Chichen is looking for a kimura but Patton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chichen to get the leverage. Chichen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Chichen is looking for submissions but instead, Patton has regained full guard.
Chichenis looking to pass into half guard but Patton pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Patton is in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chichen is looking for a triangle but Patton pushes his legs off easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Patton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Patton lands a couple of decent looking shots. Chichen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Chichen is breathing heavily. Patton scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Patton scoring with some ground and pound. Chichen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Patton stands and throws Chichen's legs to the side, diving into side control. Patton working the ground and pound from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Patton works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chichen takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Chichen prevents Patton from improving position. Chichen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Patton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Patton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Chichen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Patton's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Chichen actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chichen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chichen looking for submissions off his back. Patton seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Patton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Chichen taking some punishment here, with Patton in his half guard. Patton lands with a punch from half guard. Chichen looking for submissions off his back. Patton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chichen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Chichen moves into full guard.
Patton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chichen has momentary wrist control but Patton slips an elbow through the middle. Chichen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kung Pao Chichen will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Patton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Patton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Patton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Chichen is desperately trying to improve his position but Patton has a good base and remains in mount. Chichen is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Patton unloading with bombs! The referee warns Chichen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Patton prevents Chichen from getting the reversal. Patton lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Patton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Chichen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chichen defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Patton. Chichen regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chichen manages to get to full guard.
Chichen is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Patton frees his head nicely. Oh but Chichen has switched to an armbar! Patton is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swearengen connects with a solid leg kick. Swearengen throws a good cross that connects.
Swearengen misses with a looping left. Swearengen tries to bum rush Rage with a series of wild strikes but Rage uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rage scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Swearengen takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Rage tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Swearengen is looking to reverse the position. Rage tries to move to mount but Swearengen blocks the move with his legs. Swearengen tries to improve position but can't. Swearengen wants to get back to his feet but Rage drags him back down. Swearengen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rage's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Rage seems to be working for a kimura but Swearengen defends the submission attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Swearengen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Swearengen tries to clinch but Rage is having none of it. Rage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Swearengen circles away. Some wild striking there from Swearengen.
Rage misses with a takedown attempt - Swearengen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Swearengen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Al Swearengen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Rage. Rage keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Swearengen works Rage's body with a nice hook. Swearengen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Swearengen misses with a hook. Rage shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Swearengen's guard. Rage stopping the sweep attempt from Swearengen. Swearengen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rage's guard. Rage has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Swearengen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Swearengen stands up from Rage's guard - Swearengen perhaps looking for a knockout. Rage blocks a head kick by Swearengen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swearengen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rage on the side of the head. Swearengen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Rage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Swearengen avoids it really well and circles away. An inside leg kick from Swearengen misses. Rage stalks Swearengen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Swearengen's face. Swearengen staggers backwards, shaken.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Swearengen throws a chopping leg kick but Rage manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Swearengen moves in looking to clinch but Rage pushes him off. Rage shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rage trying to control but he's not successful this time. Swearengen is desperately trying to improve his position but Rage has a good base and remains in mount. Rage looking to control and managing it successfully. Rage putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Rage unloads with some shots from mount but Swearengen bucks and avoids them well.

A close round but Roy Rage will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Swearengen slaps away a takedown attempt from Rage, before circling back to the center of the mat. Swearengen fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rage checks it well. The fight stays on the outside here - Swearengen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Swearengen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rage wants to control from the top but Swearengen keeps moving. Rage forces his way into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rage uses his free foot to push down on Swearengen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Swearengen. Swearengen really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swearengen sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Swearengen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Swearengen. Rage landing some decent shots from guard. Swearengen wants to sweep but no luck. Swearengen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rage is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Swearengen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rage's back instead. Rage is trying to get back to his feet but Swearengen has full control of the position and if anything, Rage has just worked his way into a worse spot. Swearengen doesn't have the hooks in and Rage manages to turn into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rage slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Swearengen keeping full guard, as Rage tries to pass. Rage trying to control but Swearengen is working from the bottom. Swearengen kicks Rage off and gets to his feet. Swearengen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rage swats him away and circles back towards the center. Swearengen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Swearengen scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rage. Rage is breathing heavily. Swearengen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rage sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rage shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swearengen wants to control but Rage is keeping busy.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Swearengen. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Swearengen breaks the clinch.

Rage looks to land a combination but Swearengen avoids it well. Rage fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

An inside leg kick lands from Swearengen. Rage ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Swearengen throws a sloppy head kick and Rage moves out of range easily. Swearengen swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A clash of legs there as Rage blocks the low kick. Swearengen tries to clinch but Rage moves away and Rage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Rage gets to his feet. Swearengen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! A shot to de liver by Rage. Beautiful body shot. Swearengen leaves Rage with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Swearengen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rage has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rage and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Swearengen tries to keep at a distance but Rage has taken the fight into the clinch. Swearengen avoiding damage.

Rage tries to score a body lock takedown but Swearengen shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Al Swearengen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Rage. Rage managing to block the knees to the body from Swearengen.

Rage using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Swearengen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Rage takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rage is trying to break the clinch but Swearengen has him pressed against the cage. Rage can't get the takedown.
Swearengen taking a breather. Rage has had enough of the clinch but Swearengen keeps him there for the moment. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Swearengen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rage is pushing Swearengen up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Swearengen putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Rage in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Swearengen missing with knees to the body.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Rage. Swearengen pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Swearengen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Swearengen scores with a leg kick.

Swearengen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rage stands up over Swearengen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Swearengen looks to throw the jab but Rage is out of range. Swearengen tries a head kick but it misses.
Swearengen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Swearengen jabbing away but nothing is landing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Swearengen throws and low kick but Rage moves out of range easily. Rage scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Swearengen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rage is able to avoid easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Roy Rage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Rage has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Champion was covering up waiting for the punch and Bong finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bong throwing strikes but missing. Bong working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Champion preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bong might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bong throws a big right hand that misses. Bong distracts Champion with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bong's corner is telling him to maintain position. Champion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bong looking to sit in guard and control but Champion gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bong is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
