2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Jones! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a jab when Barnett was well out of range. Barnett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barnett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barnett somewhat. Jones throws a shot from downtown. Barnett moves away and avoids it. Barnett fails to land with a series of punches.
Barnett slips a jab from Jones. Jones stuns Barnett with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Barnett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Barnett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
No joy there for Barnett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barnett throws a right and a left that both miss. The fighters circling - Barnett throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jones takes a swing at Barnett's ribcage but misses. Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Barnett is breathing heavily. Barnett needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Buddy Barnett has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barnett throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Barnett takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Jones cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belfort throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith throws a big shot that misses. Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Belfort sees it coming and avoids it easily. Smith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dan Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Vitor Belfort has been cut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Belfort is defended easily by Smith. Belfort takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Belfort shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Belfort gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitor Belfort. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith lands a nice looking body shot.
Belfort is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Belfort seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Smith shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Belfort is backing up but Smith catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Belfort covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Smith Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson lands with a slapping head kick. Anderson takes one on the button. Anderson looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Tenenbaum uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Anderson. Tenenbaum lands with a straight right. Anderson didn't see that one coming. Anderson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tenenbaum is out of range. Tenenbaum swinging wilding here.
Tenenbaum blocks a low kick nicely. Anderson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tenenbaum counters with a nice body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Anderson throws a sloppy head kick and Tenenbaum counters with a nice double leg into side control. Anderson won't be happy with that. Anderson is trying to buck Tenenbaum off. Tenenbaum lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Anderson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tenenbaum asserts his dominance and retains side control. Anderson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on Tenenbaum's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

It looks like Hattori Hanzo has been cut. Morrison shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Hanzo takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Morrison sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Hanzo bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Lowal keeps control of McFinnigan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. McFinnigan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

McFinnigan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lowal pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Lowal tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. McFinnigan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lowal misses with a hook to the ribs.
Lowal goes for a takedown attempt but McFinnigan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McFinnigan swinging wilding here.

That took the wind out of him momentarily. Micky McFinnigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lowal misses with a looping right. McFinnigan misses with an uppercut. McFinnigan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lowal on the side of the head. McFinnigan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lowal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Micky McFinnigan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Lowal counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Lowal drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. McFinnigan pushes Lowal away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lowal gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Lowal wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McFinnigan, who protects the arm well. What's McFinnigan going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McFinnigan is not content to let Lowal control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lowal staying calm. McFinnigan prevents Lowal from moving into mount. Lowal wants to control but McFinnigan is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. McFinnigan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Good work by McFinnigan as he checks the leg kick. McFinnigan cracks a nice hook into Lowal's ribs. Lowal slips a jab from McFinnigan. McFinnigan misses with a two punch combination.

and McFinnigan counters with a crisp one two that drops Lowal! McFinnigan thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lowal to his feet! Lowal is in big trouble!
Lowal is rocked! McFinnigan misses with a hook. Oh Lowal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crack! McFinnigan connects with the perfect overhand right and Lowal falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for McFinnigan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hanson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The fighters circling - Hanson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A shot to de liver by Silva. Beautiful body shot. Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hanson's guard. Hanson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Hanson is retaining full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva has gone for a leg lock! Hanson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silva's guard. Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hanson is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him. Silva wants to stand and escape but Hanson is having none of it. Hanson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Silva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hanson. Silva slips a straight right by Hanson. A jab from Hanson misses. Hanson throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease. Borg Hanson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hanson throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot. Hanson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rofuru moves away from the strike by Wood. Rofuru throws a jab when Wood was well out of range. Rofuru drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wood working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rofuru. Wood is controlling Rofuru's posture. Rofuru won't allow Wood to sweep him here. Wood wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Rofuru working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wood wants to stand up but Rofuru is controlling him. Rofuru postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wood is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rofuru, into his guard.
