We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Perkules comes to the cage accompanied by Carlo Siliotto : The Punisher. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkules throws a body punch but Alpha moves out of range.
Perkules is looking to clinch.
Paavo Perkules seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perkules tries to clinch but Alpha is having none of it.
Alpha moves forwards but Perkules connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Alpha throws a jab when Perkules was well out of range.
Alpha lands a nice shot that snaps Perkules's head back.
Perkules finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Alpha throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Perkules takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Alpha lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alpha throws a big shot that misses.
Alpha keeps the fight on the outside.
Perkules tries to clinch there but Alpha circles away.
Alpha avoids a kick to the body.
Alpha cracks Perkules with a good jab.
Perkules throws a sloppy head kick and Alpha moves out of range easily.
Perkules throws a leg kick which misses Alpha's front leg but catches the back leg as Alpha tries to avoid it.
Alpha is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Perkules had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
The crowd cheers as Alpha lands an impressive looking overhand right. Perkules doesn't seem phased though.

Alpha misses with an uppercut. Perkules saw that one coming.
Perkules is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Alpha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perkules moves away.
Alpha just misses with a punch to the body.
Perkules moves in looking to clinch but Alpha pushes him off.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Perkules lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Alpha has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Alpha and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Alpha blocks the body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Perkules takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Alpha misses with a leg kick
and Perkules counters with a three punch combo that has Alpha backing up. Alpha nods at Perkules to acknowledge the strikes.

Alpha is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Perkules has cracked Alpha with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Perkules lands another huge swinging hook and Alpha tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Alpha, before Perkules can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Paavo Perkules!
