 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor shoots in for a takedown but Maxell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maxell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Taylor shoots for a double leg takedown but Maxell sprawls well. He's pushed Taylor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Maxell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Maxell scores with a jab. Taylor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taylor wants it to stay on the feet. Taylor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Taylor tries for a takedown but Maxell circles away easily

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sorenson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. white closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sorenson circles away. white tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sorenson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten white somewhat. white will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
white shoots in but Sorenson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nate Sorenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of charles white. Donk. Sorenson catches white right on the button with a cross. white takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jab, jab by Sorenson - just one landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. white misses with a hook. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from white. white looks for a takedown but Sorenson sprawls well. white takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Sorenson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Nice shot by Sorenson. white shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sorenson but Sorenson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sorenson leaves white with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. white shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Calzaghe keeps working.

Miller is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Calzaghe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Miller remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Calzaghe is looking to reverse the position.

Ehrenholm throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ehrenholm throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ehrenholm throws a leg kick but Tretow checks it. Ehrenholm tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tretow swivels and escapes. Tretow circles away from the clinch attempt.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douglas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ivey.
