The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Strong taking a breather. Hernandez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Strong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hernandez but Hernandez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Strong darts in trying to clinch and Hernandez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Strong is lucky that one didn't land flush. Hernandez misses with a series of wild punches.
Strong with a lazy takedown attempt and Hernandez counters with a flying knee. Nice. Strong closes the distance and clinches up with Hernandez, looking for a takedown. Strong pushes Hernandez against the cage but Hernandez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rain Hernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Strong. Strong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Strong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hernandez circles away quickly and effectively. Hernandez throws a head kick that Strong semi-blocks.
It looks like Jack Strong has been cut. Strong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hernandez as he jumps to the side. Hernandez moves into the clinch. Strong keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hernandez's efforts to push away. Hernandez tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Hernandez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hernandez misses with a head shot. Strong uses the momentum to regain guard. Strong lands a decent punch to the body there.

Strong swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hernandez postures up.

The strikes coming from Hernandez are missing the target in this wave of attacks. You can see the frustration on Strong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Strong sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Strong wants to get back to his feet.

Strong is working Hernandez over with some ground and pound from side control. The strikes coming from Strong are missing the target in this wave of attacks. He's got his arms around Hernandez's waist but Hernandez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Strong off to one side. Hernandez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Strong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hernandez is fending him off so far but Strong persists. Nope, Hernandez circles away and we're back to standing. Hernandez scores with a punch to the head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Strong. Strong tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hernandez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hernandez. Hernandez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyler swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tyler scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Joe throws the left hand but Tyler avoids the punch easily. Tyler misses with a takedown attempt and Joe counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tyler won't be happy with that. Joe postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Tyler gets back to half guard. Joe trying to control from half guard but Tyler is working away. Tyler tries to kick Joe off but Joe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Tyler blocking the ground and pound attempt from Joe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Joe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tyler defending well though. The fighters are battling for position here. Tyler manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Joe stopping the sweep attempt from Tyler. Joe postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tyler is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Joe, into his guard. Tyler controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tyler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Joe works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Joe throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Joe is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyler is aware though and is defending well. Joe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tyler manages to get himself to full guard.

Joe is looking to work some ground and pound but Tyler has wrist control. Joe is sitting in close to Tyler's body. Tyler has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Joe is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Joe is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tyler.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Xtanspel might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. That sent Xtanspel stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Go Yamamoto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Xtanspel misses with a left hand and Yamamoto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that's the end of the fight! Go Yamamoto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Yamamoto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
