13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Siegel! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Siegel. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Siegel tries to clinch but Jones moves away and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body. Siegel closes the distance and clinches. Siegel scores with a nice hook to the head. Siegel struggles to land a body shot inside as Jones controls his hands.
Siegel lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Jones misses with a punch on the inside.

Jones lands with a right to the head. Siegel lands a hook to the side of the head. Jones lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Siegel or not. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Siegel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Siegel tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jones's elbow. Jones blocks a body shot from Siegel. A short left from Siegel. Siegel lands a hook to the side of the head.

Jones gets a trip takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Siegel makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Siegel. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siegel swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Siegel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jones stalling away here and it's allowed Siegel to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Siegel throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
This has been an exciting period of action! Jones preventing the sweep. Siegel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Siegel wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Siegel defends well. Siegel postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Siegel pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard. Siegel passes to side control. You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jones avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Siegel. Jones stops Siegel from passing to mount. Siegel advances to full mount. A nice elbow there by Siegel. Jones tries to hold on but Siegel postures up. Siegel scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Siegel misses with a head shot. Siegel working Jones over with strikes here. Jones wants to hold on but Siegel pushes him away. Jones is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Siegel putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Siegel punishing his opponent with strikes. Siegel misses with a head shot. Siegel lands a nice shot to the head. Siegel unloads with some shots from mount but Jones bucks and avoids them well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Siegel scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jones?

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Sabre stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Lachance lands a few punches from side control. Sabre manages to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lachance throwing shots but Sabre is blocking nicely. Marsh throws a body punch but Hoost moves out of range. A head kick misses from Hoost. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Marsh is defended easily by Hoost. Marsh fails with a takedown attempt. Hoost scores with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh shoots for a double leg takedown but Hoost sprawls well. He's pushed Marsh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Marsh lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Marsh fails with the takedown. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Marsh. Hoost throws a hook to the side of Marsh's head but Marsh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hoost stuffs the takedown attempt from Marsh. Marsh gets slowly back to his feet. Hoost tries to work over Marsh's front leg with a kick but Marsh checks it.

He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Marsh has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Marsh and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Marsh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hoost as he avoids it easily. Nice shot lands for Marsh. Nice takedown defense from Hoost. No joy for Marsh on that attempt. Remy Hoost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Marsh. Marsh drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That's three minutes gone in the round. Marsh working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Hoost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marsh on the ground. Marsh has got one arm under Hoost's chin. This could be trouble... Hoost trying to control the other hand but Marsh gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Hoost has tapped out! The fight is over!

Angelo tries for a takedown but Levin circles away easily and Levin counters with a three punch combo that has Angelo backing up. Angelo nods at Levin to acknowledge the strikes. Angelo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Levin defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Angelo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Angelo shoots for a takedown but Levin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Levin stuffs the takedown. Darko feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cristoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Darko fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cristos is out of range. Cristos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Cristos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Darko paws at him with a jab and circles away. Darko goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cristos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Cristos throws a sloppy head kick and Darko moves out of range easily. Darko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cristos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Darko distracts Cristos with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Darko wants to pass the guard but Cristos is keeping the position. Darko slips nicely into half guard. It looks like Martin Cristos has been cut. Cristos is desperately trying to improve his position but Darko has a good base and remains in mount. Darko lands a nice shot to the head.
