The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyd throws a body punch but Wrecker moves out of range. Good exchange - Boyd coming out on top. Boyd has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wrecker finds it's way round the side to connect with Boyd's head. Wrecker tries to clinch there but Boyd circles away.
Wrecker throws a chopping leg kick but Boyd manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Boyd misses the shot to the body. Boyd misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Wrecker moves into the clinch. Boyd tries a body shot but Wrecker blocks it.
Boyd is trying to maintain a safe position but Wrecker gets an underhook and turns Boyd into the cage. Boyd's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wrecker clinches with his opponent.

Faure fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Faure jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Faure is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Walker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Walker has escaped and now he's on top! Faure has a closed guard, preventing Walker from standing up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ya Xu tries for a takedown but Decapovic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Decapovic pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Decapovic tries to clinch but Ya Xu is having none of it. Decapovic throws out a leg kick but Ya Xu moves out of range and Decapovic only half commits. Decapovic fails with a takedown attempt. Ya Xu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Decapovic keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Filip Decapovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jing Ya Xu. Ya Xu misses with a hook. Decapovic ducked under it nicely. Decapovic throws a combination that misses and Ya Xu counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ya Xu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Decapovic is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Decapovic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ya Xu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ya Xu is looking to defend but Decapovic has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ya Xu! Decapovic pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ya Xu taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head. Peterson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gracie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Peterson misses with an uppercut. Gracie saw that one coming. Peterson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though. Gracie is looking to clinch. Gracie moves out of range of the strikes. Peterson misses with a body shot.
Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown but Gracie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peterson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Caerdinn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wheeler. Wheeler circles away out of range and recomposes himself. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wheeler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Caerdinn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Young moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Angus Young is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nose postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Young. Nose with the ground and pound from mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Young is trying desperately to improve position. Nose pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Young really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! iLL goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. iLL lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Marius Metropolis has been cut. Metropolis swings for the body but iLL moves out of range.

iLL stuffs the takedown attempt from Metropolis. Metropolis gets slowly back to his feet. A jab from Metropolis finds it's way through iLL's defenses. Metropolis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from iLL. iLL attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Dr iLL seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Metropolis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. iLL tries to avoid it but Metropolis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag iLL to the ground. iLL escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Metropolis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! iLL wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. iLL walks into a jab. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Metropolis. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Metropolis shoots in looking for a takedown but iLL manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Metropolis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Metropolis throws a body punch but iLL moves out of range. Metropolis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A looping hook to the body misses from Metropolis. iLL does a little dance to reset his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Metropolis dives in and scores a takedown into iLL's guard. Metropolis postures up.

Metropolis gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on iLL's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. iLL takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Metropolis working the ground and pound. iLL tries to buck Metropolis off but Metropolis is having none of it. Metropolis working the head and body with strikes. Metropolis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Sloppy strikes there by Metropolis. Metropolis stands up over iLL, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. iLL is trying to control the position from the bottom.
iLL is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Metropolis wants to control from the top but iLL keeps moving. iLL really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Metropolis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Metropolis cracks iLL with a solid left hand. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Metropolis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. iLL pulls Metropolis in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Metropolis looking to sit in guard and control but iLL gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. iLL is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. This has been an exciting period of action! Metropolis working for a triangle but iLL defends it easily.
iLL is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. iLL is sitting in close to Metropolis's body. Metropolis has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! iLL is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, iLL is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Metropolis.
