3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Aldo! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo scores with a hook to the body. Essien takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Aldo works the jab nicely. Aldo tries to close the distance and clinch but Essien swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Aldo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Aldo throws a low kick but Essien moves out of range easily. Aldo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Essien to score an easy takedown into full guard. Essien scoring with punches to the head and body. Essien has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Aldo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Essien trying to control the position from guard on top but Aldo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Essien drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Essien jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Aldo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Essien passes into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aldo is looking to control Essien's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aldo avoid being mounted?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hernandez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Garcia scrambles back to his feet. Hernandez lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hernandez throws a head kick that misses. Hernandez works over Garcia's head and body with a nice combination. Hernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Pain pushes him off. Johnson is breathing heavily. Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.

He used the cage to his advantage there. Too has dropped down and is working for a takedown. da Costa is trying to keep an underhook but Too manages to get the takedown into half guard. Too throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Too escapes and gets back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Too connects with a nice looking jab.
da Costa slaps away a takedown attempt from Too, before circling back to the center of the mat. da Costa has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from da Costa there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Too moves into the clinch successfully.

da Costa tries to score a body lock takedown but Too shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Too gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. da Costa wants to get back to his feet but Too is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Too stands up from guard. Let's bang! Some wild striking there from Too.
Kal Too is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Too drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Too advances to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Too works his way into side control. Too controlling from side mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Too tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Too controlling the position from side mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Kal Too comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Too has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brad Easton! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A cross from Vandelay lands. Easton looks to throw a body kick and Vandelay counters with a left to the body. Easton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vandelay swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vandelay throws a good cross that connects.
Easton lands with a kick to the ribs.
Easton throws a head kick that misses. Easton misses with the body kick and Vandelay counters by moving into the clinch. Easton misses with a knee to the head. A knee to the head by Vandelay.
It looks like Brad Easton has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! A shot in the inside from Vandelay. Easton with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Vandelay lands a left hand that snaps the head of Easton backwards. Vandelay with a knee to the head.
Easton blocks a body shot from Vandelay. Vandelay lands a shoulder strike. Easton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Good exchange - Vandelay coming out on top. A head kick misses from Vandelay. Easton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Easton throws a lazy head kick and Vandelay counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A head kick by Easton misses and Easton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Easton is rocked! Vandelay connects with a body shot that sends Easton's belly button to the back. Easton is still on wobbly legs! Can Vandelay finish him? Easton looks gassed! Easton looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Easton seems to have recovered his senses. Easton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Vandelay lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Whack! Vandelay lands a heavy head kick that drops Easton. The ref tackles Vandelay to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Easton was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Art Vandelay! Art Vandelay retains his middleweight title!
