The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Creed smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Creed throws a right hand that Bills ducks under and follows up with a left that Bills also avoids with ease. Creed misses with a straight right. Creed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bills.
A swing and a miss from Creed. Bills looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Creed is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Bills like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Bills from another fist facial!

A very excited looking Apollo Creed made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Venturia stuffs the takedown. No joy there for Venturia, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Venturia crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Priebcko - the referee stops the clock and Venturia gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Priebcko. Venturia manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Priebcko throws the left hand but Venturia avoids the punch easily. An inside leg kick lands from Priebcko. Priebcko connects with an inside leg kick. Priebcko thuds a left hand into Venturia's body. Venturia throws a leg kick but Priebcko moved away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Priebcko tries to land a body kick and Venturia counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Priebcko lands a leg kick that knocks Venturia off balance momentarily. Venturia is breathing heavily. Priebcko scores with a jab to the body. Priebcko looks to score with a jab to the body but Venturia is just out of range. Priebcko jabs Venturia to the body, keeping him at a distance. Priebcko is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Venturia rather than just go for the knockout. Priebcko misses with a wild body shot. Priebcko closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Venturia's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Venturia can't keep his opponent in guard - Priebcko advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Priebcko not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Roberts fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rico avoids it really well and circles away. Rico throws a front kick aimed at Roberts's knee but Roberts avoids it well. Roberts throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rico tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Roberts is in Rico's guard. Rico is controlling Roberts's posture. Roberts tries to free his leg and advance position but Rico is retaining full guard. Roberts trying to control but Rico is working from the bottom. Roberts postures up and lands a big shot to Rico's brow. Roberts won't allow Rico to get back to his feet. Roberts throws a big elbow that misses. Roberts postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rico misses with a right hand and Roberts counters with a lovely shot to the body. Rico chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Roberts can pounce on him.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Roberts creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Rico looks to score with a jab to the body but Roberts is just out of range. A bone on bone clash there as Roberts blocks the leg kick.

Roberts scores with a decent looking hook. BOOM! Roberts lands a beautiful left hook that drops Rico. Rico tries to recover but Roberts is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Rico lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Lindquist steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jurgen. Lindquist is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jurgen had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Jurgen on the wrong end of a nice jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! It looks like Robert Lindquist has been cut. Jurgen scoring with punches from side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jurgen lands a few punches from side control. Jurgen lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Lindquist! Jurgen senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Lindquist out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!

Bunker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Bunker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Makers uses from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Makers is staying active underneath Bunker, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bunker looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Bunker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Makers lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Challa throws out a leg kick but Aurelius moves out of range and Challa only half commits. The fighters circle momentarily. Challa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. and Aurelius counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Challa! He's just covering up as Aurelius starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hammer moves away. Hammer misses with a low kick. Hammer misses with a low kick. Hammer throws a low kick but Mendez moves out of range easily. Hammer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Mendez fails with the takedown. Mendez slips under a jab. Hammer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mendez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Hammer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mendez is looking to escape. Hammer is really struggling to control Mendez but he's trying to hold on to the position. Hammer scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Hammer landing strikes from the mount and Mendez is in trouble! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mendez is desperately trying to improve his position but Hammer has a good base and remains in mount. Hammer breaks from Mendez's wrist control and lands an elbow. Mendez is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Mendez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammer postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mendez looks a forlorn figure.

Hammer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Mendez tries to reverse the position but Hammer maintains control. Mendez takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Hammer's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

The cut above Charles carlson 's eye is starting to cause him problems now. carlson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. carlson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jaeger. Jaeger drops carlson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but carlson looks back up at him and smiles so Jaeger waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
carlson is rocked! carlson drops his hands momentarily and Jaeger needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips carlson just on the top of the head. carlson drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in carlson - he's done!
