McFarlen throws a hook to the side of Rection's head but Rection sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McFarlen cracks Rection with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Hugh G Rection has been cut.
Rection looks to land a right hand but McFarlen moved out of range.
McFarlen is looking to clinch but Rection is avoiding it.
A jab lands there for Rection.

It looks like Dimitry McFarlen has been cut.
McFarlen takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good work by Rection as he checks the leg kick.
McFarlen throws a sloppy head kick and Rection moves out of range easily.

Rection drops McFarlen with a big left hand and mounts him. McFarlen is in big trouble!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rection content just to control the position here.
McFarlen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rection takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

McFarlen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rection tries a head kick but it misses.
McFarlen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rection throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McFarlen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McFarlen wants to clinch up but Rection keeps it at a distance.
McFarlen throws a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McFarlen misses the body punch
and Rection counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rection throws out a loose jab but McFarlen uses good head movement to avoid it.
McFarlen checks the leg kick.
McFarlen tries to close the distance and clinch but Rection swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
