The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tenedos lands with a slapping head kick. Nice shot by Kennedy.
It looks like Laish Tenedos has been cut. Tenedos throws a leg kick but Kennedy moved away. Kennedy scores with a nice right hand.
Kennedy throws a combination. Tenedos tries to block but a couple of punches get through. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tenedos misses with a head kick.
John Kennedy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kennedy lands with an overhand left. Tenedos connects with a high kick. Laish Tenedos's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Kennedy taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Tenedos jumps guard but Kennedy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Kennedy gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mullder closes the distance but Power moves to the side and Power counters with an outside leg kick.
A left lands for Power. That kick from Power tenderised Mullder's leg. Mullder is trying to keep his angry face on. Power scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Mullder is breathing heavily. Power lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Power throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mullder's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mullder throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Power moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Mullder is rocked! Mullder is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Power moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Haza misses with a looping right. Al Shami fails with the takedown. Al Shami shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says De Haza as he avoids it easily. Al Shami fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Naser Al Shami. That's going to take a lot out of him. Al Shami doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Al Shami feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Al Shami stands and steps away. De Haza gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. De Haza keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. De Haza lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Al Shami circles away quickly and effectively. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Al Shami looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Al Shami shoots in looking for a takedown. De Haza tries to sprawl out of it but Al Shami keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De Haza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. De Haza scores with a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Naser Al Shami will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Al Shami is on the wrong end of a nice combination from De Haza.

A swing and a miss from De Haza. Al Shami will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. De Haza cracks Al Shami with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Al Shami shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. De Haza is squirming around, avoiding Al Shami's attempts to control the action. Al Shami is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! De Haza scores with a hook to the body. Al Shami takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Al Shami shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has De Haza pinned against the cage. De Haza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. De Haza scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
And that's the end of the fight! Naser Al Shami showed his dominance in that final round. I think Al Shami has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot by Filho. A left lands for Filho. Filho slaps away a takedown attempt from Song, before circling back to the center of the mat. Filho connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Filho's corner calls for a 1-2. Filho obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Kang Ho Song has been cut. Song fails to land the takedown. Filho displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Song. Savio Filho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kang Ho Song. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jab by Filho. 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Efreitor Peter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rick Nixon! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nixon throws a shot from downtown. Peter moves away and avoids it. Peter ducks under a wild hook from Nixon. Nixon throws a right and a left that Peter avoids nicely. Nixon misses with an uppercut. Peter saw that one coming. Rick Nixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nixon circles away quickly and effectively. Peter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Peter defending well as Nixon loads up on a big left hand. Peter loads up on a big right hand but Nixon slips the punch. Peter misses with a body shot.
Nixon lunges at Peter with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Peter's hand. Peter avoids the body shot from Nixon.
Peter throws a hook to the side of Nixon's head but Nixon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nixon with a hook. Nixon misses with a hook. Peter ducked under it nicely. Peter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Peter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nixon swivels and escapes.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Nixon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Peter slips a straight right by Nixon. Peter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nixon throws a poor cross that misses
and Peter counters with a left to the body. Peter fails to land with a series of punches.
Nixon lands with an uppercut that bounces Peter off the cage and back into range. Nixon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Peter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Peter controlling the position. Nixon is trying to get back to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Peter misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peter lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nixon down.
Peter lands a nice forearm strike. Nixon is trying to buck Peter off. Peter taking a breather here. Peter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Peter tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Nixon is trying to get back to his feet. Peter has knee on belly and moves into mount. The referee warns Nixon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peter is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Peter!

8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Nitschke! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nitschke needs to keep his hands up - Shields had a free shot at his head there. Nitschke looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Shields fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Shields misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nitschke thows a leg kick but Shields checks it and Shields counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shields. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Shields throwing strikes from guard but Nitschke blocks nicely. Shields trying to control the position from guard on top but Nitschke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shields looking to pass the guard. Shields not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shields is pushing down on Nitschke's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nitschke is fighting to maintain full guard but Shields has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shields trying to control from half guard but Nitschke is working away. Shields maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Nitschke could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Shields has cracked it and Nitschke is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Shields!

I think Miller might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Johnny Cash - Hurt. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Fenton Meeks was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fenton Meeks! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller scores with a push kick. Miller works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Meeks tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range. Meeks closes the distance but Miller moves to the side and Miller counters with a slapping leg kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Miller. Miller changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Miller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Meeks's calf. A decent looking body kick lands there for Miller. Meeks tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Miller counters with a head kick. That will keep Meeks thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! This has been an exciting period of action! Miller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Meeks did well to prevent Miller getting side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Meeks looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Meeks tries to roll over but Miller keeps him under control. Miller throwing shots but Meeks is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meeks is trying to get back to full guard. Miller works his foot free and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Miller lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Miller is landing with some decent strikes but Meeks is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Miller lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Meeks hang on? Miller working the ground and pound effectively.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! This has been an exciting period of action! Miller is landing with some decent strikes but Meeks is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Miller wants to control the pace but Meeks is squirming around nicely. Miller with shots to the head and body - Meeks looks very uncomfortable down there. Miller landing shots from mount. Meeks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miller working the ground and pound effectively.
