 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cole takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jab from Cole. Cole thows a body shot but no joy. Thomas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Thomas throws a series of punches but Cole avoids them all with ease. Thomas moves away from the strike by Cole. Thomas takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Cole avoids a punch combination nicely.
Thomas misses with a few strikes there.
Cole jabs Thomas right on the nose. Thomas blinks but takes it well. Cole cracks Thomas with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nice uppercut lands for Cole. That snapped Thomas's head back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cole throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Thomas had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Cole takes a swing at Thomas's ribcage but misses.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ribeiro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ribeiro looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ribeiro scoring with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ribeiro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Giovanni's guard. Ribeiro content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Ribeiro stands up and beckons Giovanni to join him on the feet. Giovanni swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ribeiro closes the distance and clinches up with Giovanni, looking for a takedown. Ribeiro pushes Giovanni against the cage but Giovanni circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Giovanni wants to sweep here but Ribeiro controlling him for the moment. Giovanni is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! He's simply no match for Ribeiro on the ground.

Delroy lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rafael takes a step back to recover. Delroy thows a body shot but no joy. Rafael misses with a hook. Delroy throws a low kick but Rafael moves out of range easily. Delroy keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

That's gotta hurt. Delroy lands an overhand right. Rafael looks to land a left hand but Delroy moved out of range nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Delroy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rafael. Delroy punishes Rafael's body with a nice straight punch. Delroy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Delroy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rafael throws a quick inside leg kick. Rafael throws a head kick that misses. Rafael throws a series of punches but Delroy moves out of range. Delroy swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Delroy is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Delroy feints and then cracks Rafael's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rafael down. A big left from Rafael misses.

Delroy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rafael looks to throw the jab but Delroy is out of range. Rafael throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Delroy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Delroy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rafael's head backwards. Delroy throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Come on Rafael - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Delroy lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Akeno Delroy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nando Rafael seems to be getting the better of the standup. Delroy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rafael connects with a good right hand that stumbles Delroy. Delroy circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Delroy connects with a high kick. Delroy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rafael connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Delroy scrambles back to his feet. Rafael pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Rafael pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rafael throws a nice outside leg kick. Rafael wants to slow Delroy down by chopping away at his legs. Delroy throws a low kick but Rafael moves out of range easily. Rafael dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Delroy. That did some damage!

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacques slips under a jab. Bag is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. A telegraphed right hand from Bag misses the target. Bag connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jacques momentarily.
Bag throws a hook but Jacques avoids it easily. Bag misses with a wild body shot. Bag getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bag lands a head shot.
Bag lands a left and a right that send Jacques crashing to the mat, dazed. Bag thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
 Jacques is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jacques slips a jab from Bag. Oh Jacques is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jacques. Jacques avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jacques takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jacques seems to have got his legs back now.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Jacques takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Bag ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jacques moves away. Jacques takes a swing at Bag's ribcage but misses. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bag lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jacques has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jacques and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A bone on bone clash there as Jacques blocks the leg kick.

Jacques fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bag has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Bag tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jacques was well out of range. Poor timing from Bag. Bag avoids the body shot from Jacques.
Bag has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Bag misses with a lunging right hand
and Jacques counters with a leg kick. Jacques fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Jacques misses with a body shot.
Jacques turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Jacques fails with the takedown. Jacques with a hook. Jacques dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bag. That did some damage!

Jacques uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bag. Bag fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jacques is looking to wear down Bag with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bag with a jab. Bag throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jacques sees it coming and avoids it easily. Bag misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jacques.
Bag tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jacques was well out of range. Poor timing from Bag. Jacques throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bag's waist but Bag gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jacques off to one side. Jacques scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jacques avoids the body shot from Bag.

Jacques closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jacques lands in his opponent's guard.
Jacques drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bag looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bag looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bag!
Bag decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jacques to his feet. Bag's corner calls for a 1-2. Bag obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Jacques moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jacques on the wrong end of a nice hook. Jacques shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jacques takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jacques is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bag. Bag moves out of range of the strikes. Jacques avoids a punch combination nicely.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bag throws an overhand right that lands on Jacques's shoulder, as Jacques tries to avoid the shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Jacques. Bag does a little dance to reset his feet. Bag cracks a nice hook into Jacques's ribs. Swag In A Bag is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jacques walks into a left hand. Jacques slips a jab and a cross from Bag.
Bag misses with a few strikes there.
Bag throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bag swings for the body but Jacques moves out of range.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamont fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Richard on the side of the head. Sloppy strikes from Richard. Those never looked like landing. Lamont ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A jab from Richard misses. A shot to the liver by Lamont. Beautiful body shot. Blaise Lamont seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Richard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hill looks to land a left hand but Leonidas moved out of range nicely. Leonidas ducks under a wild hook from Hill. Leonidas throws an overhand right that lands on Hill's shoulder, as Hill tries to avoid the shot. Hill swings and misses with a shot to the body and Hill takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hill throws the kick towards the body but Leonidas avoids it. Leonidas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hill takes one to the side of the head.

Hill connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Hill thows a body shot but no joy. Hill misses the body punch and Leonidas counters with a three punch combo that has Hill backing up. Hill nods at Leonidas to acknowledge the strikes. Hill fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Leonidas. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Leonidas throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hill tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. King Leonidas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Leonidas lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hill backs up against the cage.
