Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warren comes to the cage accompanied by God's gonna cut you down by Jonny Cash. Bulldog comes into a darkened arena with his song building. British Bulldog kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Burbank Bulldog was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bulldog gets a double leg takedown into Warren's guard. Warren preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Warren has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bulldog doesn't defend quickly enough and Warren has managed to lock this one up! Can Bulldog escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Warren on a fantastic submission victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Svoboda has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sturd. Svoboda connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Jason Sturd has been cut. Svoboda swings for the body but Sturd moves out of range.
Sturd rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Svoboda moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Svoboda misses with an uppercut. Sturd throws a nice looking combination but Svoboda bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Svoboda throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Svoboda uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sturd. Svoboda fails with the takedown. Nice straight punches there by Svoboda. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Svoboda. A nice inside leg kick there by Sturd. That's going to slow Svoboda down. This has been an exciting period of action! Sturd throws a head kick that misses. A big left from Svoboda misses. Svoboda lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Sturd throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Sturd gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sturd connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sturd fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Good leg kick by Sturd there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Svoboda looks to score with a jab to the body but Sturd is just out of range. Sturd throws a head kick that misses.

Jason Sturd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. That kick from Sturd tenderised Svoboda's leg. Svoboda is trying to keep his angry face on. Sturd lands a nice shot that snaps Svoboda's head back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Svoboda tests Sturd's chin there with a solid looking shot. Svoboda blocks a leg kick. Svoboda slips under a jab. That kick from Sturd tenderised Svoboda's leg. Svoboda is trying to keep his angry face on. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sturd throws a right and a left that Svoboda avoids nicely. Svoboda loads up on a big right hand but Sturd slips the punch. Sturd steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Svoboda. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Sturd dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Svoboda throws a shot from downtown. Sturd moves away and avoids it. Svoboda shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sturd eats them both and turns towards Svoboda to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Svoboda misses with a wild body shot. Sturd lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Svoboda takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sturd dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Svoboda. That did some damage! Sturd misses with a body kick. Sturd throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

This has been an exciting period of action! A big right from Svoboda misses. Svoboda is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. A telegraphed right hand from Svoboda misses the target. Svoboda on the wrong end of a nice hook. Sturd pushes Svoboda away with a front kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big right from Sturd misses. Sturd works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Sturd bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Svoboda's head backwards. Svoboda avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Svoboda throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sturd cracks the inside of Svoboda's front leg. Sturd keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Svoboda. Sturd bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sturd throws a lazy right hand but Svoboda sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sturd moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sturd swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Svoboda might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sturd throws a leg kick which misses Svoboda's front leg but catches the back leg as Svoboda tries to avoid it. Sturd uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Svoboda. Svoboda takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sturd goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Svoboda is rocked! A jab from Sturd misses. Oh Svoboda is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sturd looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Sturd backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Svoboda's temple! It sends Svoboda violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Sturd celebrates and the doctors try to help Svoboda!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Jason Sturd! A relieved looking Jason Sturd thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Toeson Esq is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Toeson Esq is trying to control Nix's posture but Nix avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nix throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Toeson Esq works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Nix passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Toeson Esq! Toeson Esq wants to control but Nix is having none of it. Toeson Esq is trying desperately to improve position. Nix with a couple of short strikes. Nix with the ground and pound from mount.
Toeson Esq is rocked! Nix is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Toeson Esq goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Nix!

A very excited looking Jimmy Nix made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Benitez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Benitez throws a jab when Celek was well out of range. Celek on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Benitez on the wrong end of a nice hook. Benitez throws a body kick despite being completely out of range enabling Celek to counter with a crisp jab. Benitez throws a leg kick that is checked and Celek counters with a low kick, right behind Benitez 's knee. Benitez takes a swing at Celek's ribcage but misses. Benitez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Celek was well out of range. Poor timing from Benitez. Benitez throws a low kick, looking for Celek's leg but Celek calmly moves out of range.

Celek ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Benitez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Benitez connects with an inside leg kick. Celek throws a nice looking combination but Benitez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Celek with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Benitez throws a push kick but Celek slaps the foot to one side. Benitez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Benitez trying to control the position from guard on top but Celek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Benitez postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Benitez fails with a takedown attempt. Benitez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Celek looks like he's trying to stand up.
Celek works his way to full guard. Good work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Celek looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Benitez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Celek wants to control but Benitez is keeping busy.

Benitez tries to pass to full mount but Celek defends it. Benitez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Celek is looking for a sweep. Benitez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Celek has a hand on Benitez's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Benitez takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Celek really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Celek bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Brent Celek has got the better of the ground game so far. Celek throws a big elbow that misses. Celek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Benitez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Celek throws a big elbow that misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Celek avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Celek must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Celek is fighting to break Benitez's control of his arms but Benitez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Chucho Benitez will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Benitez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A head kick misses from Benitez.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benitez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Benitez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Celek. Celek circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Celek steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Benitez. Benitez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Benitez scores with a couple of short elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benitez trying to control the action but Celek is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Celek tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Benitez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Celek is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Celek manages to work his way to half guard, despite Benitez's best efforts. Vatali fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shears manages to avoid it. A shot to the liver by Shears. Beautiful body shot. A punch lands to the side of Shears 's head but he takes it in his stride. Shears blocks a jab. Vatali throws a front kick aimed at Shears's knee but Shears avoids it well. Vatali looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shears with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Shears tries to roll over but Vatali keeps him under control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shears on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vatali throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are battling for position here. Shears manages to regain full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Vatali will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Joe Vatali's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Vatali throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Shears throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vatali stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Shears fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vatali throws a series of punches but Shears avoids them all with ease. Vatali digs a good body shot into Shears's ribs. Vatali pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Vatali throws an off balance right hand
and Shears counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vatali! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shears lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Vatali is looking to get to half guard. Shears working for a submission but Vatali is keeping him at bay. Shears takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Young throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Ali counters with an outside leg kick.
