The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayashida pushes Thompson away with a front kick.
Thompson wants to clinch but Hayashida slips to the side
and Hayashida counters with a thumping low kick.
Cole Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hayashida but Hayashida pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hayashida pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hayashida slips a jab and a cross from Thompson.

Thompson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Thompson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

I think Chan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ikenai Tayou. Yamapi Chan had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Fauatea thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Cage if he has to take too many more of those.

Goku throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Goku looks to throw the jab but Payne is out of range.

Goku feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Payne sprawling to the canvas! Payne rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Goku finish him?!

Goku measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Payne! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
