Assassin is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jones is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jones flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Assassin anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jones and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Assassin slips an arm under Jones chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Assassin has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Assassin is squeezing on Jones like an anaconda would it's prey. Jones fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Glover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Mielikanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glover comes into the arena with Run to the hills blaring out of the sound system. Mielikanen has chosen Häjyt as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glover shoots in for a takedown but Mielikanen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Glover tries to clinch there but Mielikanen circles away.
Glover looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mielikanen is fending him off so far but Glover persists. Nope, Mielikanen circles away and we're back to standing.
Mielikanen throws a nice inside leg kick.
Glover is breathing heavily.

Mielikanen lands a big head kick that sends Glover tumbling to the mat! Mielikanen takes a step backwards and waves Glover back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Mike Glover has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mielikanen sends Glover crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mielikanen is motioning to the referee to let Glover up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Mielikanen moves into the clinch.
Mielikanen is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Mielikanen makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Mielikanen unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Mielikanen digs a right hand into Glover's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Glover's gas tank.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mielikanen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Oh Glover is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mielikanen lands a nice knee to the body.
Mielikanen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Mielikanen has Glover pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Glover is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Mielikanen - that's hurt Glover badly! Oh, another knee lands and Glover is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Glover doesn't seem to be complaining.
