The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brookins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

A left lands for Parr. Brookins has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Parr finds it's way round the side to connect with Brookins's head. Parr throws a series of punches but Brookins moves out of range. Tooks Parr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parr lands with an uppercut that bounces Brookins off the cage and back into range. Parr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brookins shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Brookins wants to pass the guard but Parr is defending well. Parr has a hand on Brookins's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Brookins takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brookins controlling the pace for now. Parr is looking to improve his position but Brookins isn't that keen on the idea.

Brookins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parr sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Brookins is figuring out what he wants to do next. 10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Stann! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stann lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Strong circles away quickly and effectively. Strong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stann but Stann pushes him off and we're back to square one. Strong moves into the clinch. Strong is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stann to keep the fight standing. Strong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stann moves out of range of the body kick from Strong.

Strong throws a sloppy head kick and Stann moves out of range easily. Strong is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stann's half guard. Stann is looking to escape. Strong is trying to work for a kimura but Stann is defending well.
Stann kicks Strong off and gets back to his feet. Stann bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Strong's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strong throws a right and a left that both miss. Strong defending well as Stann loads up on a big left hand. Stann fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Strong looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Strong rushes Stann and presses him up against the cage. Stann breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stann lunges at Strong with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Strong's hand. Stann avoids the head kick by Strong.
Decent striking displayed by Stann there. Strong is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Stann. Strong moves away from the strike by Stann. Stann ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Stann connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Strong's hands. Stann misses with a series of wild punches.

Strong shoots in for a takedown but Stann shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Strong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stann stuffs the takedown attempt from Strong. Strong gets slowly back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stann displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Strong uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stann. Strong gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stann. Stann misses with a jab, cross combination.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stann is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Strong has just dragged him back down to the mat. Strong trying to control the action but Stann is working from the bottom. Strong tries to score with some ground and pound. Stann controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strong has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Stann scores with a jab. Strong acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Stann closes the distance and clinches up with Strong, looking for a takedown. Stann pushes Strong against the cage but Strong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Strong shoots in for a double leg but Stann sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jack Strong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stann pinned against the cage. Stann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Stann might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Strong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stann manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Strong walks into a left hand. Strong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stann looks to land a combination but Strong avoids it well. Stann works the jab nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dan Stann will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A decent looking cross lands there for Stann. Dan Stann seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stann avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Stann lands with a cross. Strong swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stann counters with a stiff right hand. Stann feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Strong is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stann defends well. Stann loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stann got a little sloppy there for a moment and Strong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stann has managed to get both his arms back between Strong's legs - danger averted. Stann wants to control from the top but Strong keeps moving. Stann pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Strong is keeping the position for now. Jack Strong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stann trying to control the position from guard on top but Strong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Let's see if Stann can do anything to dispel that myth. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stann is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Strong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Stann pushes Strong off and gets back to his feet.

Stann paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stann takes a swing at Strong's ribcage but misses. Stann rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Strong moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jack Strong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Strong steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stann. Strong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stann sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A head kick misses from Strong. Strong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nice sprawl there from Stann as Strong shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Strong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Danga de danga de dang - Stann scores with a four punch combination! Stann stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

This has been an exciting period of action! Stann trying to control the position from guard on top but Strong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dan Stann is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Strong dives in and grabs Stann's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stann pushes down on Strong's head and hops out. Strong shoots in but no luck this time. Stann throws a series of punches but Strong avoids them all with ease. Stann thows a left - swing and a miss! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. No luck for Stann with that takedown attempt. Jack Strong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stann throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gillberg is pawing at McFly, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into McFly's nose. McFly is badly hurt! Gillberg pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! McFly tries desperately to hold on but Gillberg is relentless in his assault! As McFly receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Gillberg away and this one is in the books!

Grace takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Royce Grace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grace shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grace showed some decent athleticism there. Grace throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Grace throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Grace wants to free his trapped foot but Mcgrath is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Grace is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Grace can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcgrath is looking to escape. Grace raining down shots from the mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grace throwing strikes here but Mcgrath is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sonofabeetch looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sonofabeetch scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Sonofabeetch tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sonofabeetch is trying to ground and pound but Bride uses the momentary lack of control by Sonofabeetch to regain half guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Garcia throws a looping overhand right but Jaw ducks down to avoid it. Jaw ducks under a wild hook from Garcia. Garcia lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jaw scores with a shot to the body.
Jaw avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch but Jaw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jaw throws a low kick but Garcia moves out of range easily. Jaw takes one to the chin there. Jaw attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Garcia just misses with a punch to the body.
Good leg kick by Jaw there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nice defenses there by Jaw. Garcia displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jaw throws out the jab. Garcia looks to throw the jab but Jaw is out of range. Jaw connects with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Jaw, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Garcia crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jaw - the referee stops the clock and Garcia gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jaw. Garcia manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Garcia clobbers Jaw with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jaw goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. A head kick from Jaw lands but Garcia takes it in his stride. Jaw lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jaw swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Jack Jaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Jaw drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaw lands with a hook. Garcia tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Garcia looks to score with a jab to the body but Jaw is just out of range. Garcia tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jaw scores with a nice body kick.

Garcia throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jaw sees it coming and avoids it easily. A punch combination from Jaw misses. Jaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Garcia might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Jaw looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia misses with a right hand and Jaw counters with a leg kick. Jaw misses with a wild body shot. Jaw on the wrong end of a nice jab. Nice uppercut lands for Jaw. That snapped Garcia's head back.

Jaw throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Jaw ducks under a wild hook from Garcia. Garcia has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jaw. Jaw throws out a leg kick but Garcia moves out of range and Jaw only half commits. Garcia lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Garcia throws a hook to the side of Jaw's head but Jaw sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Garcia bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jaw's head. Garcia fails in his attempt to clinch. Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch but Jaw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jaw loads up on a big right hand but Garcia slips the punch. Garcia rushes Jaw and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Garcia misses with a hook from the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Starkey wants to improve his position but Loaf is controlling well.
Loaf postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Starkey to stand up. Loaf lands with a shot to the body. Meat Loaf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Loaf bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Loaf pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Starkey lands with a good body shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Loaf tries a head kick but it misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Meat Loaf will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Meat Loaf's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

George Starkey seems to be getting the better of the standup. Starkey scores with a sloppy right hand. Loaf should have avoided that one. Loaf looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Loaf uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Starkey.

This has been an exciting period of action! Starkey gets a clinch. Starkey dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Loaf struggles to land a body shot inside as Starkey controls his hands.
Loaf gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Starkey regains guard.
Loaf throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Starkey keeping moving, preventing Loaf from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starkey looking for a sweep. Not yet Starkey, not yet. Starkey has momentary wrist control but Loaf slips an elbow through the middle. Loaf avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Loaf has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Loaf controls from within his opponent's guard. Loaf looking to pass the guard. Starkey keeping moving, preventing Loaf from controlling successfully. Starkey throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Loaf escapes and throws Starkey's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Starkey gets back to half guard. Starkey is not content to let Loaf control the position. Loaf thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Starkey's head. Starkey is looking to control Loaf's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Starkey avoid being mounted? As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Starkey misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Loaf seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Starkey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Meat Loaf showed his dominance in that final round. I think Loaf has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Smyth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Dignam! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping body kick lands there for Smyth. Dignam moves into range and clinches up with Smyth. Dignam can't find room to land a body shot as Smyth controls the action.
Smyth is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Smyth unloads a knee to the mid-section. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dignam misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Smyth lands an elbow inside that Dignam shrugs off.
It looks like Sean Dignam has been cut. Dignam wants to get back to striking at distance but Smyth won't allow it.
Smyth crunches a lovely knee into Dignam's ribcage. Dignam looks gassed! Smyth blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Dignam swings wildly with an uppercut but Smyth uses good head movement to avoid it. Smyth unloads a knee to the mid-section. Smyth scores with a knee to the head.
Dignam tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Smyth's elbow. A short uppercut from Smyth. Smyth lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dignam or not. Dignam looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Smyth stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smyth connects with a knee to the head.
Smyth slowing the pace effectively. Smyth scores with a knee to the head.
Smyth keeps control of Dignam as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Smyth taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Smyth obliges. Smyth creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Dignam's defenses.
That has opened up Sean Dignam's cut even more. Dignam takes a knee right on the jaw!

Nice body punch from Smyth - that landed with a thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smyth pushes Dignam back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Good body shot from Smyth.
Dignam takes an elbow to the forehead. Smyth makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Smyth connects with a knee to the head.
The cut above Sean Dignam's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smyth using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Sean Dignam's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. A short right from Smyth on the inside. Smyth lands a shot to the body. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Smyth. Dignam's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sean Dignam's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kris Smyth! Jumping up and down and very excited, Kris Smyth waved his t-shirt featuring Conviction's logo in front of the cameras.
