The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doom looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Goose is fending him off so far but Doom persists. Nope, Goose circles away and we're back to standing.

Doom fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Goose, pushing him back against the cage.
Doom wants a takedown but no success here.
Doom can't break the clinch.

Doom has Goose pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Doom pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Goose tumbling to the mat - Doom dives into Goose's guard.

Goose is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Doom rolls with it to try and escape but Goose cranks on the arm and Doom is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Saukko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jakoavain sprawls well. Jakoavain wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Saukko gets slowly back to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Per Saukko.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Saukko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
