The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manhoef connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Torromino's hands. Torromino is looking to score with low kicks. Manhoef lands a nice shot that snaps Torromino's head back.
Manhoef fakes the leg kick and cracks Torromino in the body. Torromino moves out of range of the body kick from Manhoef.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Manhoef throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Torromino tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Manhoef paws at him with a jab and circles away. Manhoef with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Manhoef defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Torromino. Torromino closes the distance and clinches up with Manhoef, looking for a takedown. Torromino pushes Manhoef against the cage but Manhoef circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Torromino shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Torromino crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Manhoef - the referee stops the clock and Torromino gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Manhoef. Torromino manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Manhoef displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Torromino. Torromino tries for a takedown but Manhoef sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Torromino is breathing heavily. Torromino with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Manhoef to counter with a crisp jab. Manhoef dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Torromino. That did some damage! Manhoef comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A punch lands to the side of Torromino 's head but he takes it in his stride. A slapping leg kick lands for Manhoef.

Horrible takedown by Torromino or perhaps it was just good defense by Manhoef which made him look bad. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Torromino drops his hands momentarily and Manhoef takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. A nice inside leg kick there by Manhoef. That's going to slow Torromino down. Manhoef goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A nice leg kick lands there from Manhoef. Torromino just misses with a punch to the body.

Manhoef feints and then cracks Torromino's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Torromino down. Melvin Manhoef seems to be getting the better of the standup. Torromino misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Torromino is defended easily by Manhoef. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabrizio Torromino. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Torromino with a lazy takedown attempt and Manhoef counters with a low kick, right behind Torromino 's knee. Manhoef cracks a nice hook into Torromino's ribs.

Manhoef lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Torromino has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Manhoef. Manhoef smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Manhoef throws a combination. Torromino tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Manhoef ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Torromino shoots in for a takedown but Manhoef shows good takedown defense. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Torromino takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Manhoef lands a nice leg kick that just misses Torromino's sensitive parts. Manhoef throws a nice inside leg kick. Manhoef lands with a nice combination. Torromino backs away looking to recover.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Manhoef throws out a powerful jab. Manhoef lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Torromino chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Manhoef can pounce on him.
Manhoef leaves Torromino with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That kick from Manhoef tenderised Torromino's leg. Torromino is trying to keep his angry face on. Fabrizio Torromino has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Manhoef lands with a nice body punch. Torromino steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Manhoef. That one must have hurt. Manhoef jabs Torromino to the body, keeping him at a distance. Manhoef lands a jab. Manhoef darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manhoef lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Torromino circles away quickly and effectively. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Torromino shoots in looking for a takedown. Manhoef tries to sprawl out of it but Torromino keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Manhoef manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Torromino chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Manhoef can pounce on him.
Manhoef scores with a push kick. Torromino looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Good leg kick by Manhoef there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Torromino with a poor takedown and Manhoef counters with a solid body kick. Manhoef fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Torromino has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A nice inside leg kick there by Manhoef. That's going to slow Torromino down. Manhoef throws a quick inside leg kick. Melvin Manhoef is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Manhoef is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Torromino.

BloodWing is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a quick inside leg kick. Jones is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lind bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Lind does a little dance to reset his feet. Jones slips under a jab from Lind. Lind looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. A shot to the body from Lind misses and Jones counters with a body kick that stops Lind in his tracks momentarily. Jones throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Lind throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lind throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket. Lind is looking to land body kicks. Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. The fighters circle momentarily. Lind darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lind on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A body shot lands from Lind.

Lind pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lind ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lind scores with a jab. Jones acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving. Lind lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Lind thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Jones is rocked! Jones is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Lind moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrosyan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Petrosyan doesn't manage to clinch there - Mak circles away.
Petrosyan rushes Mak and presses him up against the cage. Mak is looking to take this one to the mat. Mak drops down looking for an ankle pick but Petrosyan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Petrosyan throws a leg kick which misses Mak's front leg but catches the back leg as Mak tries to avoid it. Petrosyan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fight stays on the outside here - Petrosyan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Petrosyan throws the kick towards the body but Mak avoids it. Petrosyan is looking to chop away at Mak's legs. Petrosyan tries to clinch up but Mak circles away and keeps his distance. Petrosyan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Petrosyan stays in close to Mak's body and controls the position. Petrosyan wanted to stand there but Mak had control of the position. Petrosyan wants to control from the top but Mak keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mak wants to sweep here but Petrosyan controlling him for the moment. Mak keeping moving, preventing Petrosyan from controlling successfully.
Giorgio Petrosyan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Petrosyan lands with a kick to the temple. Mak shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Freddy Mak has been cut. Mak on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Petrosyan. Petrosyan obviously looking to wear him down.
Petrosyan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mak paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mak looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Petrosyan!

Mak wants to free his trapped foot but Petrosyan is holding on for dear life with his legs. Petrosyan pushes Mak off and gets back to his feet. Petrosyan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Petrosyan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Petrosyan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Petrosyan throws a quick inside leg kick. A head kick misses from Petrosyan. Mak dives in and grabs Petrosyan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Petrosyan pushes down on Mak's head and hops out. Petrosyan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mak checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Mak gets tackled into the cage by Petrosyan. Petrosyan maintains the clinch. Mak is looking to take this one to the mat. Petrosyan looking to throw knees to the head but Mak is blocking nicely.
Mak has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Petrosyan regains guard immediately. Mak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Petrosyan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mak throwing strikes from guard but Petrosyan blocks nicely. Mak trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mak looking to pass the guard. Mak throws a strike but Petrosyan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Mak is looking for a triangle but Petrosyan pushes his legs off easily.
Mak wants to sweep here but Petrosyan controlling him for the moment. Mak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mak has a closed guard, preventing Petrosyan from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrosyan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Petrosyan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Giorgio Petrosyan. Petrosyan is looking to clinch. Petrosyan scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Freddy Mak has got the better of the ground game so far. Mak throws a big elbow that misses. Petrosyan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mak with a flurry of punches that miss. Mak postures up in Petrosyan's guard and throws a big left but Petrosyan blocks it. Mak throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Petrosyan controls Mak momentarily but Mak frees himself. Mak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mak distracts Petrosyan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mak throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mak stands and throws Petrosyan's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mak is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Petrosyan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petrosyan dodges the ground and pound from Mak. Petrosyan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Petrosyan is trying to control Mak's posture but Mak avoids it. Petrosyan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mak tries to move to mount but Petrosyan blocks the move with his legs. Freddy Mak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The strikes coming from Mak are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Brent Caerdinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lesnar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Caerdinn paws at him with a jab and circles away. Caerdinn avoids a punch combination nicely.
