23 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Alex Rua! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua tries to score with a low kick but Sachz moves his leg out of the way. Sachz lands a nice shot to the body.
Sachz scores with a jab to the jaw. Sachz swinging wildly here.
Alex Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rua finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rua thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sachz if he has to take too many more of those.
Rua throws the kick towards the body but Sachz avoids it. Rua shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sachz's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sachz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rua off and has taken his back! Sachz scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sachz is trying to stick to Rua's back but Rua is turning into Sachz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sachz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rua. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Rua dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sachz loads up on a big right hand but Rua slips the punch. Sachz misses with a series of wild punches.

Sachz on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rua. Rua obviously looking to wear him down.
Rua feints and as Sachz raises his hands in defense, Rua changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rua throws an elbow that misses. Sachz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rua's guard. Nice move by Sachz! Rua is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sachz is aware though and is defending well. Rua wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Sachz landing some decent shots from guard. Sachz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rua is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rua is controlling Sachz's position as best he can from this difficult position. Sachz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rua defending well though.
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Rua comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rua has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kersikov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kersikov misses with a head kick.
Russo avoids the body shot from Kersikov.
Russo throws out a powerful jab. Kersikov throws a leg kick which misses Russo's front leg but catches the back leg as Russo tries to avoid it. Russo wants to clinch. Kersikov lands a nice hook to Russo's body. Russo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kersikov moves into range and connects with a jab. Russo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kersikov swivels and escapes. Kersikov throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kersikov misses with a straight left. A shot to the liver by Russo. Beautiful body shot. Russo lands a jab. Kersikov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Russo was well out of range. Poor timing from Kersikov.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kersikov cracks Russo with a good jab. Russo throws out a leg kick but Kersikov moves out of range and Russo only half commits. Russo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kersikov trying to control from the bottom.
Kersikov avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Russo. Russo missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Russo is just content to waste time from the top position. Kersikov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Russo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Russo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Russo is in close to Kersikov's body, working some short punches and elbows. Russo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kersikov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Russo trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kersikov manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Russo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kersikov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Russo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kersikov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Russo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kersikov wants to control from the top but Russo keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kersikov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Russo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kersikov is aware though and is defending well. Russo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kersikov is sitting in close to Russo's body. Russo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kersikov is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kersikov is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Russo.

Nice defenses there by Spliffs. Barnes checks the leg kick. Spliffs misses with a straight left. Spliffs tries to close the distance and clinch but Barnes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Spliffs tries a head kick but it misses.
Spliffs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barnes swats him away and circles back towards the center. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Spliffs lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Barnes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Barnes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Barnes gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Spliffs fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Barnes is out of range. Barnes throws a series of punches but Spliffs avoids them all with ease. Spliffs scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Barnes looks gassed! Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Spliffs. Barnes shrugs it off though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spliffs connects with a leg kick. Barnes looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Spliffs closes the distance and pushes Barnes back into the cage. Spliffs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Spliffs scores with a sloppy right hand. Barnes should have avoided that one. Spliffs connects with a crisp jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spliffs lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barnes's sensitive parts. Spliffs throws a nice inside leg kick. Spliffs lands with a nice body kick. Spliffs pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Supermies connects with a jab. McGregor throws out a loose jab but Supermies uses good head movement to avoid it. McGregor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. McGregor throws a jab when Supermies was well out of range. McGregor paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Simo Supermies has been cut. Supermies lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. McGregor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Supermies.

Supermies misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Supermies throws a leg kick but McGregor sees it coming and checks it nicely. McGregor pushing out the jab but it's not landing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McGregor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Supermies was well out of range. Poor timing from McGregor.
That's one minute gone in the round. Supermies misses with an uppercut. McGregor saw that one coming. Supermies throws a body punch but McGregor moves out of range. Supermies misses with a looping right. Supermies does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. McGregor takes a body punch but keeps moving. Supermies closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Supermies throwing shots but McGregor is blocking nicely. Supermies looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Supermies is stalling here. McGregor is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Supermies seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McGregor has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGregor working the head and body with strikes. Supermies has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McGregor looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Supermies tries to escape but McGregor is in control. Supermies might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. McGregor throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGregor creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. You can see the frustration on Supermies's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Supermies is trying to improve his position. Supermies taking punishment in the form of punches.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sloppy strikes from Harvey. Those never looked like landing. Bomb looks for the body kick but Harvey saw that one coming. Bomb tries a head kick but it misses.
Bomb moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A decent looking cross lands there for Bomb. Bomb fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Harvey has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Harvey goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Good standup being displayed there by Bomb as he connects with a hook. Bomb pushes Harvey away with a front kick. Harvey looks gassed! Bomb pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Harvey has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bomb. Bomb throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bomb thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Harvey if he has to take too many more of those.
Bomb uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bomb lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Bomb lunges at Harvey with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Harvey's hand.
