The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Bauer misses with a body shot.
Bauer throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. Jones swings and misses with a shot to the body and Bauer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jones swings for the body but Bauer moves out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bauer misses with a series of strikes from mount. Bauer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bauer content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Bauer with a nice head shot there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bauer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bauer. Bauer throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jones controls from within his opponent's guard.

Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Bauer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head. A shot to the body from Bauer misses and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bauer shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bauer takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses. Bauer doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bauer throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bauer fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Easton Bauer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones takes a swing at Bauer's ribcage but misses. Bauer loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch. Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bauer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Jones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab. Bauer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bauer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Easton Bauer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bauer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Easton Bauer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bauer wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bauer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Easton Bauer. Well Bauer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Laurentian uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Anderson. Laurentian throws out a loose jab but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it. Laurentian checks a leg kick. Laurentian thows a left - swing and a miss! Anderson jabs Laurentian right on the nose. Laurentian blinks but takes it well. A shot to the liver by Laurentian. Beautiful body shot. Anderson throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Laurentian counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Laurentian throws a body punch but Anderson moves out of range. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Anderson. Anderson catches Laurentian with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Anderson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Luongo keeps the fight on the outside. Francesco Luongo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Randell looks to score with a jab to the body but Luongo is just out of range. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cane. Banuelos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cane rushes Banuelos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Banuelos doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cane throws a head punch that misses. Banuelos utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. A nice left hand lands by Banuelos.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Banuelos. Cane wants to take the fight to the mat but Banuelos manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Banuelos lands with a right to the head. Banuelos gets through Cane's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Cane has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Banuelos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Victor Banuelos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lancaster tries to clinch but East moves away and East counters with a single leg into guard. Lancaster didn't expect that. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. East controls from within his opponent's guard. Lancaster looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! East has picked Lancaster up and slammed him! Lancaster can't keep hold of the triangle and East manages to pass to side control! East is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lancaster has escaped the position, nice work there. East cracks Lancaster with a big elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. East slows the pace down. East is working Lancaster over with some ground and pound from side control. East scoring with punches and elbows. Lancaster tries to bench press East off him but East keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lancaster wants to control but East postures up. Lancaster seems a little lost for a moment, as East dominates the positioning. East lands a nice forearm strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lancaster is not content to let East control the position. Lancaster is looking to regain half guard here but East keeps moving and retains side control. East remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. East misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lancaster can't do much from the bottom here. East is looking to take a break and control but Lancaster is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. East taking a breather here. East is trying to get an arm triangle but Lancaster is defending well. East lands a couple of elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lancaster keeping moving, preventing East from controlling successfully. East avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Klein East dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lancaster defends well against a solid takedown attempt from East. East ducks under a wild hook from Lancaster. Lancaster wants to clinch but East slips to the side and East counters with a good low kick that Lancaster was not able to check. East buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Klein East has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malcolm Lancaster. East ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. East lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
East lands a body shot.
East sizes up Lancaster with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. East lands with a hook. Lancaster tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. East is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

East is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if East hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
