The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monday throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Abaddon on the side of the head. Abaddon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Monday breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Abaddon scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Monday waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Abaddon. Monday ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Monday shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Abaddon tries to get to full guard but Monday has control of the leg. I think Maddox might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Frontines by Diabolic ft. Immortal Technique. Knish has chosen Big Ten Inch by Areosmith as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

That was a close round but I would say that Ronny Bruvik will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Bruvik slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Bruvik's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bryant connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bruvik scrambles back to his feet. Bruvik thows a body shot but no joy. Bryant throws a leg kick but Bruvik sees it coming and checks it nicely. Bruvik throws a series of strikes that have Bryant backpedaling.
Bryant tries to land a front kick but Bruvik steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Bruvik slips under a jab from Bryant. Bruvik keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bryant. Bruvik throws a body punch but Bryant moves out of range. Bruvik throws a wild body kick that Bryant sees coming a mile off. Bruvik changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bryant looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bryant being controlled for a moment. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Bryant is trying to control Bruvik's posture but Bruvik avoids it.

Bruvik wants to control the pace but Bryant is squirming around nicely. Bryant tries to lock up and control but Bruvik gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bryant is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Bruvik is staying active. Bryant keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Charles keeps the fight on the outside. Charles throws a hook to the side of Ochoa's head but Ochoa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Charles throws a big shot that misses. Charles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ochoa pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Agrabah got a little sloppy there for a moment and Doherty has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Agrabah has managed to get both his arms back between Doherty's legs - danger averted. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Agrabah passes easily into side control. Nice work. Doherty is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Agrabah off and has taken his back!

Agrabah trying to control the position from guard on top but Doherty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Agrabah stays in close to Doherty's body and controls the position. Doherty is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Agrabah defends well.
