The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Canseco thuds a left hand into Barnes's body. Canseco closes the distance and pushes Barnes back into the cage. Barnes is defending well against a takedown attempt. Barnes is fighting off a takedown attempt but Canseco is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Barnes to the mat. Barnes regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Canseco trying to control but Barnes is working from the bottom. After the fight, Jose Canseco was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kersikov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A big left from Coleman misses. Coleman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kersikov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A jab from Kersikov does it's job there. Kersikov stuffs the takedown. Kersikov misses with a looping right. Kersikov throws a shot from downtown. Coleman moves away and avoids it. Kersikov lands a left and a right that send Coleman crashing to the mat, dazed. Kersikov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harvey can't keep his opponent in guard - Russo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Russo working over Harvey with some ground and pound. Harvey looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Paul Harvey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
