With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Smokudju Womba!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hjalmar Klason!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Womba - just one landing.
Klason connects with a body shot.
Womba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Klason manages to avoid it.
Womba looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Womba shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Klason napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Womba drops back, looking for a kneebar! Klason looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Klason looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Klason!

Womba is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Klason's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Klason's back!

Womba is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Womba gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Womba gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Womba apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Womba jabs Klason right on the nose. Klason blinks but takes it well.
Klason will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Womba goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Womba.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Smokudju Womba. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Womba walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Klason checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close second round but I would say that Smokudju Womba will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
