The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin misses with a jab to the body
and Samani counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A slapping leg kick lands for Samani.
Martin throws a lazy right hand but Samani sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Martin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Samani lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Martin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Samani.
A slow jab from Martin misses its intended target.
A telegraphed right hand from Martin misses the target.
Samani thows a body kick. Martin tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Samani changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martin tries to avoid it but Samani manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martin to the ground. Martin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Samani.

Martin moves forwards but Samani connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Martin scores with the left hand. Samani knows he should have avoided that one.
Martin looks for a takedown but Samani sprawls well.
Martin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Martin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Samani can pounce on him.
Samani lands a leg kick that knocks Martin off balance momentarily.

Samani steps into range and cracks Martin with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Martin flops backwards and Samani dives into his guard looking to finish!

It looks like Dean Martin has been cut.

Bones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fight Music D12. Vaughn has chosen Wild Thing as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Oooooh!!! Noriega has knocked Smith down with a huge combo! Noriega steps away and waves a wobbly Smith back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Noriega connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Smith covering up! Noriega comes in with a big uppercut and Smith goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
