The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maughan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A punch lands to the side of Craig 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Craig dodges the punch combination from Maughan.
Maughan misses with an uppercut

and Craig counters with a single leg into guard. Maughan didn't expect that.

Craig gets to his feet - Maughan follows without any prompting.
Maughan ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Harrison shoots in looking for a takedown. Da Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Harrison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Da Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Harrison stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Da Silva.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gray can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gracie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
