The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze jabs Babeshin right on the nose. Babeshin blinks but takes it well.

Blaze avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Jaa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pejovsky to score with a decent uppercut.

Pejovsky cracks Jaa with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Pejovsky has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jaa to stand back up!

Petrovich on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Petrovich tries to get out of the position.

Olicky thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Kuchiki.
A thudding body kick lands there by Kreedy!
Kuchiki looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kreedy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kreedy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kuchiki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kreedy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kreedy shoots in for a takedown but Kuchiki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kuchiki.
Kuchiki lands a nice hook to Kreedy's body. Kreedy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Diesel Kreedy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kreedy shoots for a double leg takedown but Kuchiki sprawls well. He's pushed Kreedy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kuchiki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kreedy is just riding it out for now. Kuchiki eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kreedy is working for takedown but Kuchiki is calmly controlling the position for now.

Kreedy has a couple of punches blocked by Kuchiki.

Kreedy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kuchiki rushes Kreedy and presses him up against the cage.
Kreedy wants a takedown but no success here.

Kreedy gets control of Kuchiki's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kreedy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kuchiki's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That was a close round but I would say that Byakuya Kuchiki will probably get the nod.
