The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mael throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mael throws a solid leg kick but Lopez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mael.
Mael throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lopez pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lopez just misses with a punch to the body.
Mael misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lopez.
Mael attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Lopez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mael shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lopez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mael thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mael forces his way into half guard.
Lopez is looking for a sweep. Mael is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mael prevents Lopez from standing back up.
Mael seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lopez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mael wants to work for an arm triangle but Lopez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mael works his foot free and advances to mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lopez is wriggling around trying to escape.

Lopez wants to try and get back to his feet.
Mael working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lopez turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mael off and cradles Lopez's limp body as Mael celebrates with his corner.

A slow jab from Yon misses its intended target.
Crax gets tackled into the cage by Yon. Yon maintains the clinch.
Yon misses with a punch to the body.
Crax blocks an elbow strike.
Yon lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Rutger Crax has been cut.
Crax tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yon smiles and moves away.
Oooooh!!! Yon has knocked Crax down with a huge combo! Yon steps away and waves a wobbly Crax back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Crax is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yon has closed the distance and engaged Crax in a clinch.
Oh Crax is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Crax is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Yon gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Yon breaks the clinch.
Crax stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crax wants it to stay on the feet.
Yon throws the left hand but Crax avoids the punch easily.

Yon lands a brutal uppercut that launches Crax off his feet! Crax tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
