The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pray darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Pray keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kikyerass wants to sweep but Pray has passed to side control! You can see the frustration on Kikyerass's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kikyerass is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Pray wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kikyerass keeps working. Pray content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Kikyerass tries to buck Pray off but Pray is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lay Pray. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pray lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? Pray controls Kikyerass momentarily but Kikyerass frees himself. Kikyerass throwing strikes but missing.

Kikyerass is staying active underneath Pray, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kikyerass is trying to control but can't.

Pray tries to control but Kikyerass wriggling away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pray tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kikyerass sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pray is trying to control the action in half guard but Kikyerass is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kikyerass keeping moving, preventing Pray from controlling successfully. Pray takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lay Pray is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kikyerass looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

It looks like Tricolor Paulista has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cid turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Paulista is still on wobbly legs! Can Cid finish him? Whack! Cid lands a heavy head kick that drops Paulista. The ref tackles Cid to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Paulista was done.

It looks like Santeri Sikaniska has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sikaniska avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Mallon missing with a left hand there. Sikaniska was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Sikaniska swinging wildly here.

Reese shoots in for a takedown but Chavez shows good takedown defense. Kyle Reese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chavez stuns Reese with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Reese shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reese showed some decent athleticism there. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Chavez wants to control but Reese is keeping busy and won't allow it. Chavez is holding on to half guard well. Chavez is trying to maintain the position but Reese is very close to passing his half guard. Chavez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Reese.
