21 - 12 - 2, fighting out of New York, Mat Matmat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Desmond Grey! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matmat with a jab. Grey uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Matmat tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Grey is able to avoid easily. Grey lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Grey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matmat sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grey somewhat. Matmat keeps Grey at a distance using the push kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Matmat uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grey.
An inside leg kick from Grey misses. Grey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matmat sprawls well. Matmat wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grey gets slowly back to his feet. Matmat misses with a kick to the body.
Grey takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Desmond Grey has been cut. Matmat throws a leg kick but Grey checks it. Matmat tries to bum rush Grey with a series of wild strikes but Grey uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Matmat keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Matmat misses with a combination
and Grey counters with a nice kick to the body. Mat Matmat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matmat waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Grey. A nice leg kick lands there from Grey. Grey with a nice cross. Matmat blocks a head kick by Grey.
Matmat takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Nice cross by Grey. Grey takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Matmat's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Grey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Matmat scrambles back to his feet. Matmat tries to sprawl but Grey drives through with a takedown into half guard. Matmat is trying to get back to full guard. Matmat slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Grey is in close to Matmat's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grey trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Matmat keeping moving, preventing Grey from controlling successfully. Matmat tries to land a sweep but no joy. Grey wants to control from the top but Matmat keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matmat had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grey defends it easily. Matmat keeping full guard, as Grey tries to pass. Grey stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Matmat has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Grey manages to get his head free but now Matmat has transitioned to an armbar! Grey grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Matmat! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heinrich Eisenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Marcolini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Eisenberg might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Feuer Frei. Marcolini has chosen Raffaella Carra - Rumore as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eisenberg blocks a jab. Marcolini shoots in but Eisenberg avoids the takedown attempt easily. Eisenberg scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Marcolini uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Eisenberg.
Marco Marcolini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eisenberg sizes up Marcolini with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Marcolini throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Eisenberg blocks a jab. Marcolini closes the distance but Eisenberg moves to the side letting Eisenberg counter with a right hand. Marcolini walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Eisenberg checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. This has been an exciting period of action! Eisenberg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marcolini was well out of range. Poor timing from Eisenberg. Marcolini misses with a straight right. Marcolini misses with a straight left. Marcolini takes one on the button. Eisenberg feints a jab promting Marcolini to slip. Eisenberg then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Marcolini slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Marcolini throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A jab from Eisenberg finds it's way through Marcolini's defenses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcolini throws out a loose jab but Eisenberg uses good head movement to avoid it. Marcolini is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Eisenberg. Eisenberg showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Marcolini.
Eisenberg lands a slapping body shot.
Marcolini moves out of range as Eisenberg strikes. Marcolini shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Eisenberg pinned against the cage. Eisenberg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Marcolini gets in close and instigates a clinch. Marcolini's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Eisenberg makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Eisenberg misses with a hook to the ribs.
Marcolini can't find room to land a body shot as Eisenberg controls the action.
Eisenberg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Eisenberg scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Marcolini doesn't seem bothered though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marcolini misses with a low kick. Heinrich Eisenberg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Marcolini throws a poor cross that misses
and Eisenberg counters with a left to the body. Marcolini looks gassed!

Eisenberg avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Eisenberg is looking to wear down Marcolini with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Marcolini throws a lazy right hand but Eisenberg sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Eisenberg, as that shot connected.
Marcolini uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Eisenberg. Eisenberg throws a nice looking combination but Marcolini bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Eisenberg lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Marcolini at a distance.
Marcolini takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Nice uppercut there from Eisenberg. Eisenberg thuds his right hand into Marcolini's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Eisenberg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Eisenberg cracks Marcolini with a right hand to the side of the head. Eisenberg feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Marcolini sprawling to the canvas! Marcolini rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Eisenberg finish him?!
Marcolini is rocked! Eisenberg drops Marcolini with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Marcolini! Eisenberg dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Heinrich Eisenberg! After the fight, Heinrich Eisenberg was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Laudrup throws a right and a left that Howell avoids nicely. Laudrup lands with an uppercut that bounces Howell off the cage and back into range. Laudrup throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Laudrup is nestled in close to Howell, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Howell trying to hold on to Laudrup's head to control him but Laudrup postures up.
Laudrup looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Laudrup trying to control from half guard but Howell is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Howell is refusing to be controlled, as Laudrup sits in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Hans Laudrup just wasn't active enough. Laudrup just misses with a punch to the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Laudrup turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Howell misses with a body kick. Howell tries to land a leg kick but Laudrup saw it coming and moves away.

Laudrup goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Laudrup looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Hans Laudrup is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Laudrup staying calm. Laudrup has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Laudrup trying to control the position but Howell is working away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bantrell takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

De Vries connects with a solid leg kick. Bantrell has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from De Vries. Bantrell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. De Vries will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Unbelievable!
