The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowe wants to clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crowe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rookie on the side of the head.
Rookie tries a head kick but it misses.
Crowe gets in close and tags Rookie with a short punch that almost sends Rookie to the mat! Oh Rookie is in big trouble! He turns his back on Crowe, trying to create some distance but Crowe rushes him, striking wildly and Rookie goes down! The referee tackles Crowe into the cage to end the fight! Crowe is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Glover Crowe!
Glover Crowe decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

Schmidt throws a right hand that Kaufmore ducks under and follows up with a left that Kaufmore also avoids with ease.
Kaufmore is trying hard to land a takedown here. Schmidt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kaufmore fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schmidt avoids it really well and circles away.
Schmidt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kaufmore avoids a punch combination nicely.
Schmidt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kaufmore moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Schmidt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Schmidt throws a nice looking combination but Kaufmore bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Schmidt is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kaufmore gets his way!
I really don't envy Schmidt right now.

Kaufmore has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Schmidt is trying to get back to his feet but Kaufmore has full control of the position and if anything, Schmidt has just worked his way into a worse spot.
