The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bum clinches up with Fletcher and pushes him back against the cage.
Bum is trying to pull guard but Fletcher turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Fletcher keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bum's efforts to push away.

Bum throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fletcher's waist but Fletcher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bum off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fletcher stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fletcher wants it to stay on the feet.

Bum avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fletcher has hold of Bum's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bum manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bum tries to reverse the position but Fletcher maintains control.

Sapp pushes Alexeev up against the cage in a clinch.
Alexeev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sapp walks away with a smile on his face. Alexeev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Alexeev throws a leg kick

and Sapp counters with a head kick that drops Alexeev to the mat! Alexeev scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Alexeev is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sapp cracks Alexeev's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Alexeev slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Sapp can do further damage! This one is done, son!

A very excited looking Bob Sapp rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clay Guida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clay Guida had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.
