The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rei takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Rei.
Rei misses with the body kick
and McDonald counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rei cracks McDonald with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Mitch McDonald has been cut.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rei.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McDonald throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rei counters with a low kick, right behind McDonald 's knee.

McDonald tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Djoser Rei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rei is looking to clinch but McDonald is avoiding it.
McDonald's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Rei punishes McDonald's body with a nice straight punch.
McDonald moves out of range of the body kick.
McDonald throws a series of punches but Rei avoids them all with ease.
Rei scores with a hook to the body. McDonald takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rei tries to bum rush McDonald with a series of wild strikes but McDonald uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rei connects with a solid leg kick.
Rei throws a right hand that McDonald ducks under and follows up with a left that McDonald also avoids with ease.
Rei cracks McDonald with a good jab.

McDonald takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McDonald is rocked!
Rei fakes the body blow, causing McDonald to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! McDonald goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
