The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber closes this distance looking for a takedown but Figgus circles away. Cyril Figgus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Figgus closes the distance but Faber moves to the side and Faber counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Faber. Faber stopping the sweep attempt from Figgus. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LePew shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. LePew uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carter has time to react. LePew throws a nice looking combination but Carter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. LePew uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carter. Carter tries to clinch there but LePew circles away.
Carter lands with a nice body punch. Carter doesn't manage to clinch there - LePew circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Carter. LePew does a little dance to reset his feet. Carter checks a leg kick nicely. LePew moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Brent Carter has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. LePew sees it coming and avoids it easily. LePew scores with a jab. LePew jabs Carter right on the nose. Carter blinks but takes it well. Carter shoots in looking for a takedown but LePew manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. LePew changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. LePew connects with a nice looking jab.
Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's one minute gone in the round. LePew fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. LePew feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Carters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Carter is rocked! LePew cracks Carter with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Carter falls to his knees and LePew doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hill stuffs the takedown. Mela scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hill doesn't seem bothered though. Hill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mela.
Jokke Mela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hill will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Horrible takedown by Mela or perhaps it was just good defense by Hill which made him look bad. Hill displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mela. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jokke Mela. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hill shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mela counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hill won't be happy with that. Mela in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mela tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mela has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hill tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mela wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Namjera with shots to the head and body - Rosenberg looks very uncomfortable down there. Rosenberg tries to lock up and control but Namjera gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. You get the feeling that Rosenberg really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Namjera lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Namjera lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Namjera slips a nice elbow through Rosenberg's hands, connecting with Rosenberg's forehead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Some bone on bone action there as Namjera checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Rosenberg slaps away a takedown attempt from Namjera, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rosenberg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Namjera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rosenberg avoids it really well and circles away. Namjera throws a right and a left that both miss. Rosenberg misses with the combination.

Rosenberg should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Melendez staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Melendez doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Sendoh regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Rickson. Rickson trying to control the position from guard on top but Sendoh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rickson passes Sendoh's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rickson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Sendoh avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rickson. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rickson wants to work for an arm triangle but Sendoh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Carl Rickson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rickson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akira Sendoh. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sendoh, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Richard checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Wray keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Richard. The fighters circle momentarily. Richard darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Wray swings away with a leg kick that misses. Richard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Richard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Richard throws a strike but Wray rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Wray stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richard swivels though and keeps the full guard. Richard is looking for a triangle but Wray pushes his legs off easily.
