12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lou Haggen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Stone! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone throws a looping overhand right but Haggen ducks down to avoid it. Stone connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Stone lands a leg kick that knocks Haggen off balance momentarily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Haggen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stone manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Stone controls Haggen momentarily but Haggen frees himself. Stone lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Haggen! Haggen is desperately trying to improve his position but Stone has a good base and remains in mount. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tank throws a nice outside leg kick. Tank displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gjkgkg. Tank tries to clinch there but Gjkgkg circles away.
Gjkgkg fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tank sprawls well initially but Gjkgkg persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gjkgkg is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tank doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gjkgkg. Gjkgkg slips a nice elbow through Tank's hands, connecting with Tank's forehead. Tank on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tank tries to get out of the position. Gjkgkg is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Dacir is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sixteen! Sixteen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sixteen is desperately trying to improve his position but Dacir has a good base and remains in mount. Sixteen is squirming around, avoiding Dacir's attempts to control the action. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Turnbull looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Li with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Turnbull seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Li does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Turnbull has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Turnbull takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jack Turnbull overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Turnbull punishing his opponent with strikes. Turnbull lands a big shot there that rocks Li but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
