Turpin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barretto was well out of range. Poor timing from Turpin.
Barretto throws a solid leg kick but Turpin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Barretto.
Barretto looks to land a right hand but Turpin moved out of range.
Barretto tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Roque Barretto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barretto is looking to clinch but Turpin is avoiding it.

Turpin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barretto moves away.
Barretto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Turpin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Turpin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Turpin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barretto can pounce on him.
Turpin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Barretto.
Turpin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Turpin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Turpin connects with a body shot that sends Barretto's belly button to the back.

Barretto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Turpin.

That was a close round but I would say that Roque Barretto will probably get the nod.

Turpin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Barretto, as that shot connected.

Barretto is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Turpin.
Turpin is still on wobbly legs! Can Barretto finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barretto closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Turpin! Barretto dives in looking to finish! Turpin is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Mullen.
