15 - 11 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pasi Nurminen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julian Thomas! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nurminen throws a shot from downtown. Thomas moves away and avoids it. A looping hook to the body misses from Thomas. Nurminen does a little dance to reset his feet. Nurminen takes a swing at Thomas's ribcage but misses. Nurminen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nurminen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Thomas misses with a hook
and Nurminen counters with a nice leg kick. Nurminen throws a leg kick that misses. Nurminen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Nurminen throws a nice looking combination but Thomas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Thomas swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Julian Thomas wasn't active enough on the ground. Thomas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nurminen cracks Thomas with a right hand to the side of the head. Nurminen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Thomas throws a body punch but Nurminen moves out of range. Nurminen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nurminen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Nurminen throws a strike but Thomas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Nurminen wants to stand but Thomas is controlling the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Pasi Nurminen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Nurminen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thomas won't allow Nurminen to pass to mount. Pasi Nurminen dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Thomas rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nurminen counters with a left and a right that stings Thomas. Nurminen dips to his left and cracks Thomas with an uppercut! Nurminen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nurminen throws a hook to the side of Thomas's head but Thomas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Thomas lands a glancing blow to the side of Nurminen's head. Nurminen looks for a takedown but Thomas sprawls well. Thomas jabs Nurminen right on the nose. Nurminen blinks but takes it well.
Nurminen is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nurminen switches off momentarily and Thomas cracks him with a monster right hand! Nurminen topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Thomas dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Thomas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chu is looking to clinch. Trujillo lands a right hook to the body.
Trujillo looks to land a left hand but Chu moved out of range nicely. Trujillo looks to score with a jab to the body but Chu is just out of range. Chu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Trujillo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Trujillo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Chu connects with a looping right hand.
Chu checks a low kick from Trujillo. Trujillo looks to throw the jab but Chu is out of range. Chu throws a push kick but Trujillo slaps the foot to one side. Trujillo tries to land a front kick but Chu steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Trujillo thows a leg kick but Chu checks it and Chu counters with a nice uppercut. Trujillo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Chu blocks a head kick by Trujillo.

Trujillo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Chu throws a head kick but Trujillo moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big right from Chu misses. Trujillo throws a body kick, spinning off balance and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Chu misses with a head kick.
Chu lunges at Trujillo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Trujillo's hand.
It looks like Atonal Trujillo has been cut. Chu is looking to clinch. A big right from Trujillo misses. Chu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Trujillo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Chu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Chu clobbers Trujillo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Chu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trujillo, pushing him back against the cage. Chu landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

A lazy body kick attempt from Chu. Trujillo misses with a body kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Trujillo. Chu scores with a jab to the body. Trujillo is looking to land body kicks. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Trujillo connects with a body shot that sends Chu's belly button to the back. Chu gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Trujillo. Chu misses the shot to the body. A punch combination from Chu misses. Chu is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Trujillo connects with a body shot. Oh Chu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Chu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trujillo sees it coming and avoids it easily. Chu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Chu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Chu seems to have got his legs back now. Chu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A jab from Chu misses. Chu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Trujillo throws out the jab.

Chu looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Chu has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Chu tries to clinch up but Trujillo circles away and keeps his distance. Trujillo throws a monster overhand right that drops Chu! Trujillo follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Atonal Trujillo! A relieved looking Atonal Trujillo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cunningham throws a push kick but Rook slaps the foot to one side. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rook. Cunningham catches Rook with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Cunningham fails in his attempt to clinch. We've been hearing reports that Rook has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Rook fails with the takedown. Cunningham walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rook checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Rook throws a hook but Cunningham avoids it easily. Bowman Rook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rook shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cunningham as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bowman Rook. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice inside leg kick there by Cunningham. That's going to slow Rook down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cunningham throws a body kick despite being completely out of range so Rook counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rook controls from within his opponent's guard. Cunningham pulls Rook in to control the position. Rook advances to half guard. Cunningham has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Rook trying to pass the guard but Cunningham defending well. Rook sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Cunningham is squirming around, avoiding Rook's attempts to control the action. Rook punching from mount but Cunningham doing a good job of avoiding damage. Poor strikes thrown by Rook there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

And that's the end of the fight! Bowman Rook showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rook, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a jab when Jorma was well out of range. A big right from Silva misses. Jorma has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A head kick by Silva misses and Jorma counters with a nice uppercut. Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jorma lands with a short shot to the head. Silva throws a head punch that misses. Jorma has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jorma goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jorma looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Silva cracks Jorma with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jorma swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jorma looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely. Silva dodges the punch combination from Jorma.
Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Jorma cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs. Silva misses with a straight right. Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jorma was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva. Silva dives in and grabs Jorma's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jorma pushes down on Silva's head and hops out. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Silva. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Silva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jorma counters with a straight right hand. Silva misses the shot to the body. Silva slips under a jab. Jorma rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Silva shoots in and drives through. Jorma sprawls well. Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Jorma is just out of range. Decent striking displayed by Jorma there.
Silva is rocked! Rasva Jorma seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jorma feints a jab and as Silva dips his head, Jorma unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Silva right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Silva falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Jorma smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

A nice leg kick lands there from Rin. Rakhmanov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Rakhmanov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rin. Rakhmanov missing with a left hand there. Rin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Rin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Rin lands with a hook. Rakhmanov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Rin moves out of range as Rakhmanov strikes. Rin misses with a straight right. Rin fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rakhmanov checks it well. Rakhmanov blocks a leg kick. Rin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kaito Rin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rin tests Rakhmanov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Rin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

A low kick from Rin misses and Rakhmanov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A big right from Rin misses. Rin moves forwards but Rakhmanov connects with a nice, crisp jab. Rakhmanov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rakhmanov throws a leg kick and Rin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rakhmanov! Rin is trying to get an arm triangle but Rakhmanov is defending well. Rakhmanov is looking to reverse the position.
