Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roufus Kaine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wendel Silveira! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaine lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Kaine goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Kaine finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Silveira on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kaine. Kaine obviously looking to wear him down.
Silveira takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kaine.
Kaine tries to score with a low kick but Silveira moves his leg out of the way. Kaine just misses with a punch to the body.
Silveira takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kaine throws out a loose jab but Silveira uses good head movement to avoid it. Kaine misses the shot to the body. Silveira shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silveira throws a sloppy head kick and Kaine moves out of range easily. Kaine fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Silveira has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Kaine throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kaine is looking to land body kicks. Silveira with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kaine to score with a decent uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silveira shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kaine sprawls well. Kaine wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silveira gets slowly back to his feet. Silveira shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kaine as he avoids it easily. Kaine stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kaine wants it to stay on the feet. Roufus Kaine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wendel Silveira. Silveira throws a leg kick but Kaine checks it. Silveira tries to clinch up but Kaine circles away and keeps his distance. Kaine thumps Silveira with a low kick. Silveira fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kaine tries to work over Silveira's front leg with a kick but Silveira checks it. Silveira takes a shot right to the bread basket. Kaine connects with a good right hand that stumbles Silveira. Silveira circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kaine definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kaine pushes Silveira away with a front kick. Kaine thows a leg kick but Silveira checks it and Silveira counters with a big head kick but Kaine shrugs it off. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silveira has a takedown stuffed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaine scores with a nice strike. Kaine chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Silveira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kaine as he jumps to the side. Kaine throws a right hand that Silveira ducks under and follows up with a left that Silveira also avoids with ease. A looping hook to the body misses from Kaine. Silveira does a little dance to reset his feet. Kaine connects with a leg kick. Silveira looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Kaine lands a head kick. Silveira smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Silveira is rocked! Kaine turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kaine lets loose with a powerful body kick. Silveira will feel that in the morning. Silveira looks winded! Kaine connects with an inside leg kick. Silveira is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kaine is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Silveira. Kaine feints and then cracks Silveira's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Silveira down. Roufus Kaine is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kaine chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kaine - that will leave a mark!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silveira takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Silveira changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kaine tries to avoid it but Silveira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kaine to the ground. Kaine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kaine fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silveira. Kaine connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kaine feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silveira's calf. Kaine looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kaine scores with a kick to the midsection. Kaine buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kaine connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Silveira's hands. Silveira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kaine counters with a stiff right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Kaine misses with the combination.
Kaine digs a good body shot into Silveira's ribs. Kaine buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaine chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kaine lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silveira at a distance.
Crunch! Kaine slams his shin into Silveira's torso. Kaine cracks Silveira with a good jab. Silveira is still on wobbly legs! Can Kaine finish him? Silveira ducks into an uppercut from Kaine and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roufus Kaine! Our winner, Roufus Kaine, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chaney moves into the clinch successfully.
Chaney tries to pull guard but Contofalsky won't allow it.
Nice elbow from Contofalsky. Chaney stops a takedown attempt from Contofalsky.
Chaney has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Contofalsky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Contofalsky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chaney is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Chaney is trying to force a seperation but Contofalsky has the dominant position. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Contofalsky takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Contofalsky lands a nice elbow.
It looks like James Chaney has been cut. Chaney throws an elbow that misses.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marek Contofalsky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chaney is trying to force a seperation but Contofalsky has the dominant position. Contofalsky just leaning against Chaney, taking a breather.

Contofalsky stops Chaney from standing up. Contofalsky has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Chaney not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Contofalsky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Contofalsky wants it to stay on the feet. Chaney has his takedown stuffed and Contofalsky counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Marek Contofalsky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chaney fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Contofalsky connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chaney momentarily.
Contofalsky stuffs the takedown. Contofalsky lands a left and a right that send Chaney crashing to the mat, dazed. Contofalsky thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Chaney is rocked! Chaney is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Contofalsky just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Chaney has gone limp and this one is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez misses with a left hand and Subzero counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A head kick misses from Martinez. Martinez goes for a double leg but Subzero avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Subzero continues to drive forward. Martinez can't find room to land a body shot as Subzero controls the action.
Martinez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The referee calls for Subzero to work.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Subzero for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Martinez tries to pull guard but Subzero holds him up against the cage and eventually Martinez drops back down to his feet.
Joelmir Subzero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alpo Martinez. Subzero lands a takedown into guard.
Subzero pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Martinez is keeping the position for now. Subzero sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Martinez's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez wants to improve his position but Subzero is controlling well.
Subzero stands up and beckons Martinez to join him on the feet. Subzero throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Martinez's head. Subzero keeps the fight on the outside. Subzero dives in for a single leg takedown but Martinez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Subzero is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Martinez works over Subzero with some ground and pound from guard. Subzero pulls Martinez in close to prevent any damage. Martinez tries to stand but Subzero is controlling from the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Subzero throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Subzero is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Subzero is working an open guard so Martinez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Martinez throws a push kick but Subzero slaps the foot to one side. Subzero shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Martinez eats them both and turns towards Subzero to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Subzero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Subzero lands in his opponent's guard. Martinez tries to strike from the bottom.
Martinez wants to control the position but Subzero says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Subzero thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Martinez wants to control but Subzero is keeping busy.
Subzero wants to stand but Martinez has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Subzero is looking to take a break and control but Martinez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Martinez is trying to control but Subzero manages to pass to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martinez wants to hold on but Subzero pushes him away. Martinez is squirming around, avoiding Subzero's attempts to control the action. Martinez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Subzero is stalling here but it's allowed Martinez to get half guard.
Martinez is trying to get back to full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Subzero is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Martinez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Martinez showed some decent athleticism there. Still in half guard, Martinez seems content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martinez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Subzero keeps working. Martinez content to control rather than advance. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Subzero moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Subzero wants to sweep here but Martinez controlling him for the moment. Martinez throws an elbow that misses. Subzero uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Martinez's guard. Nice move by Subzero! Martinez looking to control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Subzero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Martinez is one step ahead there. Martinez won't allow Subzero to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martinez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Martinez stopping the sweep attempt from Subzero. Subzero working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Martinez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Martinez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Martinez preventing the sweep. Subzero is working hard here to advance position. Martinez controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martinez pushing down on Subzero's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Subzero tries to get to full guard but Martinez has control of the leg. Martinez sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Subzero defending well though. Martinez is keen to just control but Subzero is a slippery customer. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Martinez is looking to advance position but Subzero won't allow it. Martinez prevents Subzero from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alpo Martinez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Martinez landing with the ground and pound. Alpo Martinez has got the better of the ground game so far. Subzero is trying to control the position but Martinez postures up. Martinez gets to his feet. Subzero looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Subzero fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Subzero tries to clinch there but Martinez circles away.
Joelmir Subzero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Martinez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Martinez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Subzero is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martinez decides to stand back up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A shot to the body from Martinez misses and Subzero counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Subzero fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Martinez to the ground. Subzero is now in Martinez's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Martinez is on top in guard.
Martinez passes Subzero's left leg - he's now in half guard. Subzero pushes Martinez off looking to stand but Martinez dives back in and keeps control.
Martinez content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Subzero tries to roll over but Martinez keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martinez is trying to control. Subzero wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Subzero keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Subzero wants to get back to his feet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Martinez performing his best blanket impression for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alpo Martinez. Martinez tries to clinch up.
And that's the end of the fight! Alpo Martinez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Martinez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donnie Yen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gattsu Tsvetkov! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yen closes the distance and clinches up with Tsvetkov, looking for a takedown. Yen pushes Tsvetkov against the cage but Tsvetkov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Yen fails with a takedown attempt. Tsvetkov throws a nice looking combination but Yen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tsvetkov throws out a powerful jab. Tsvetkov throws a right hand that Yen ducks under and follows up with a left that Yen also avoids with ease. Tsvetkov misses with a double jab
and Yen counters with an inside leg kick. Tsvetkov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Tsvetkov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Yen counters with a body kick that stops Tsvetkov in his tracks momentarily. The crowd cheers as Tsvetkov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Yen doesn't seem phased though. Yen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tsvetkov sprawls well. Tsvetkov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yen gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnie Yen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yen slips a straight right by Tsvetkov. Yen slips a jab from Tsvetkov.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yen throws out a leg kick but Tsvetkov moves out of range and Yen only half commits. A telegraphed right hand from Tsvetkov misses the target. Tsvetkov misses with a looping left. Yen tries to land a front kick but Tsvetkov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Yen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

and Yen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Yen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Tsvetkov. Tsvetkov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yen. Tsvetkov swings for the body but Yen moves out of range.

so Yen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Yen works over Tsvetkov with some ground and pound from guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tsvetkov can do anything to dispel that myth. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yen wants to control from the top but Tsvetkov keeps moving. Yen distracts Tsvetkov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yen trying to control the position from guard on top but Tsvetkov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tsvetkov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yen is controlling him. Tsvetkov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Yen advances position into side control! Yen with the ground and pound but Tsvetkov regains half guard under the barage of strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yen is working for a submission of some sort.
Yen throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Tsvetkov to regain full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yen landing with the ground and pound. Tsvetkov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tsvetkov keeping moving, preventing Yen from controlling successfully. Tsvetkov is looking to stand up but Yen isn't so interested in that idea. Tsvetkov can't keep his opponent in guard - Yen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tsvetkov on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tsvetkov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Well, if Yen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Yen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Tsvetkov is refusing to be controlled, as Yen sits in half guard. Tsvetkov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Yen. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tsvetkov tries to kick Yen off but Yen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Yen is nestled in close to Tsvetkov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yen wants to control but Tsvetkov is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donnie Yen dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Tsvetkov jabs Yen to the body, keeping him at a distance. Yen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Tsvetkov throws a lazy right hand but Yen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Yen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A swing and a miss from Tsvetkov. Yen throws a right and a left that Tsvetkov avoids nicely. Tsvetkov throws a looping overhand right but Yen ducks down to avoid it. Decent striking displayed by Tsvetkov there. Tsvetkov might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Tsvetkov throws an off balance right hand
and Yen counters with a head kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yen tries to clinch there but Tsvetkov circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tsvetkov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Yen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Yen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tsvetkov.
Yen fails with a takedown attempt. Yen tests Tsvetkov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Yen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Yen defending well as Tsvetkov loads up on a big left hand. Tsvetkov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yen moves away. Tsvetkov stalks Yen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Yen's face. Yen staggers backwards, shaken. Yen takes the fight into the clinch. Yen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yen jumps into guard, dragging Tsvetkov to the mat.
Yen is looking for a triangle but Tsvetkov pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tsvetkov works a leg free and moves into half guard. Yen is positioning himself well to prevent Tsvetkov advancing to mount. Tsvetkov is looking to advance position but Yen won't allow it. Donnie Yen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Yen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tsvetkov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tsvetkov's back! Yen has managed to slip his arm under Tsvetkov's chin. This could be all over... yep, Tsvetkov is tapping out! Submission win for Yen.
