Brandon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Mattus feints and as Farrelly raises his hands in defense, Mattus changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mattus loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Mattus drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Farrelly dives on top into guard.
Farrelly has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at 11th Planet Fitness ($100/wk). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Mattus is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Farrelly defends well.
Mattus is breathing heavily.
Farrelly would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mattus is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Farrelly got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mattus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Farrelly has managed to get both his arms back between Mattus's legs - danger averted.
Farrelly is looking to stand up but Mattus won't let him.

Farrelly lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Mattus up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Farrelly from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Mattus's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
