2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Johnson! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but The Quick swats him away and circles back towards the center. Johnson shoots and misses and The Quick counters with an inside leg kick. The Quick thumps Johnson with a low kick. Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by The Quick which made him look bad. The Quick shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The Quick with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The Quick wants to work for an arm triangle but Johnson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The Quick is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Johnson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from The Quick. The Quick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Al Haddad tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Abbiati manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Al Haddad lands the left hand. Some wild striking there from Abbiati.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Al Haddad keeps the fight on the outside. Nice shot by Al Haddad. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Abbiati is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Abbiati takes one to the chin there. Al Haddad misses with a wild combination.
And that's the end of the fight! Elias Al Haddad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Al Haddad has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. River throws a looping overhand right but Williams ducks down to avoid it. Williams takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

River had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. River scores with a slapping inside leg kick. River misses with a body shot.

and River counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Williams scores with a sloppy right hand. River should have avoided that one. Nice shot lands for River.
Williams is rocked! Williams is aggressively charging in as River backs up avoiding any damage. River tosses out a jab and Williams runs right into it face first! Williams is out cold! River dropped down on all fours and is barking in Williams's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Tj Shields has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Shields loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Shields sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gotti's guard. Gotti won't allow Shields to pass to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shields works his way into full mount! The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gotti manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
