8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donnie Alto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Farofa! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alto clinches with his opponent.
Alto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Alto misses with a hook. Farofa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alto thuds his right hand into Farofa's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Alto clinches up against the cage. Farofa is trying to push Alto away but Alto has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Alto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Farofa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Alto dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Alto closes the distance and clinches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice body punch from Alto. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Alto breaks from the clinch.
Alto lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Carlos Farofa has been cut. Alto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice cross by Farofa. Farofa throws a combination that misses and Alto makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Alto throws a quick inside leg kick. Alto scores with a hook. Alto dances in with a quick combination. Farofa is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Alto snaps Farofa's head back. Farofa stumbles backwards against the cage. Alto steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Farofa's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Farofa just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Donnie Alto! After winning the bout, Donnie Alto thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crawley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Crawley on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Reynolds fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crawley manages to avoid it. Crawley shoots in but Reynolds avoids the takedown attempt easily. Robert Crawley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice straight punches there by Crawley. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Crawley. Crawley throws a sloppy body shot
and Reynolds decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Crawley's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reynolds trying to control but Crawley is working from the bottom. Reynolds controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Reynolds loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds looking to pass the guard. Crawley is pulling down on Reynolds's head. It's preventing any offense from Reynolds, at least for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reynolds uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Crawley. Crawley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Reynolds sees it coming and avoids it easily. Crawley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Reynolds.
Reynolds throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A big right from Crawley misses. Crawley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Crawley slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reynolds misses with an uppercut. Crawley saw that one coming. Crawley throws a right hand that misses

Reynolds will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Crawley loads up on a big right hand but Reynolds slips the punch. Crawley thows a body shot but no joy. Reynolds shoots in looking for a takedown. Crawley tries to sprawl out of it but Reynolds keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crawley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Robert Crawley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malcolm Reynolds. Reynolds looks to land a right hand but Crawley moved out of range. Reynolds shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Crawley manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Reynolds throws a big right hand that misses. Reynolds throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crawley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crawley being controlled here, momentarily. Crawley keeping moving, preventing Reynolds from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

This could be trouble! No, Crawley has managed to free his arm - good work. Reynolds wants to take a breather but Crawley is having none of it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Crawley tries to roll over but Reynolds keeps him under control. Reynolds looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Reynolds throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crawley won't allow Reynolds to pass to mount. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crawley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Reynolds lands a hook that snaps the head of Crawley backwards. Reynolds manages to break the clinch.
Crawley lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Crawley thuds a left hand into Reynolds's body. No luck for Reynolds with that takedown attempt. Crawley misses with a few strikes there.

That was a close second round but I would say that Robert Crawley will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Reynolds lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Reynolds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reynolds takes one to the side of the head.

Reynolds comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Crawley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reynolds.
Reynolds throws a jab when Crawley was well out of range. Crawley throws a shot from downtown. Reynolds moves away and avoids it. Crawley paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Crawley looks to land a left hand but Reynolds moved out of range nicely. Crawley closes the distance and clinches. Reynolds working aggressively here.
Reynolds lands with a left to the head. Crawley is pressed up against the cage. Reynolds has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Crawley down to the mat. Crawley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A jab from Crawley finds it's way through Reynolds's defenses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crawley throws a looping overhand right but Reynolds ducks down to avoid it. A jab from Crawley misses. Crawley misses the jab. Crawley misses with an uppercut. A punch combination from Reynolds misses. Nice defenses there by Reynolds. Reynolds shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Crawley napping and manages to drive through into side control! Reynolds wants to control but Crawley is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reynolds tries to move to mount but Crawley blocks the move with his legs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crawley is not content to let Reynolds control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Malcolm Reynolds comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Reynolds has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yamada has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Khasm is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Khasm shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Griffin throws a lazy right hand but Khasm sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Khasm takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Khasm walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khasm closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Horrible takedown by Khasm or perhaps it was just good defense by Griffin which made him look bad. Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Griffin is looking to slow Khasm down with leg kicks. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Khasm tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Griffin defends well and Khasm ends up having to push Griffin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Griffin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Griffin chopping away at his opponent's legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Griffin misses with a straight left. Khasm shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Griffin sprawls well. Griffin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khasm gets slowly back to his feet. Kevin Khasm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Griffin throws a combination that misses and Khasm counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Griffin thinking.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rad chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Doherty thows a body shot but no joy. Doherty looks to score with a jab to the body but Rad is just out of range. Doherty darts in trying to clinch and Rad counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rad. Doherty is trying to keep Rad in close.
Rad throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rad passes into half guard. Doherty tries to get to full guard but Rad has control of the leg. This has been an exciting period of action! Rad missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doherty keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rad seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Doherty does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rad throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rad is trying to control the action in half guard but Doherty is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Doherty tries to get to full guard but Rad has control of the leg. Rad stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rad not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rad is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Doherty! Doherty is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rad prevents Doherty from getting the reversal. Rad punching from mount but Doherty doing a good job of avoiding damage. Rad misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

It looks like Luther Doherty has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rad throws some wild stikes that Doherty manages to avoid easily.

Rad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Doherty sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rad wants to take a breather but Doherty is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rad trying to work for an americana but Doherty has managed to regain full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rad working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doherty walks into a left hand. Doherty moves away from the strike by Rad. Doherty fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rad on the side of the head. Doherty looks to score with a jab to the body but Rad is just out of range. Doherty is looking to clinch. Rad fakes the leg kick and cracks Doherty in the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rad tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Doherty was well out of range. Poor timing from Rad. Rad throws a leg kick that misses. Doherty tries to clinch up. Doherty looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Luther Doherty's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Rad moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Rad swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rad throws a head kick that misses. Rad throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Doherty keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Doherty closes the distance and pushes Rad back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doherty gets through Rad's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Doherty has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rad tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Rad explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Rad scores with a punch to the head. Rad lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Doherty closes the distance looking to clinch and Rad counters with a good, hard body kick but Doherty shrugs it off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Doherty connects with the punch. Doherty throws a looping overhand right but Rad ducks down to avoid it. A telegraphed right hand from Rad misses the target. Doherty moves to clinch but Rad breaks away and Rad counters with a low kick, right behind Doherty 's knee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rad lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jeez, Luther Doherty's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Searlas scores with a nice strike. The fighters circling - Searlas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Gorbachoff catches Searlas with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Searlas ducks down and throws a hook to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Searlas connects with a crisp jab. Searlas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gorbachoff.

We've been hearing reports that Searlas has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Searlas goes for a takedown attempt but Gorbachoff pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Gorbachoff has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gorbachoff there as he acknowledges the shot. Gorbachoff ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Searlas moves away. A head kick from Gorbachoff lands but Searlas takes it in his stride. Gorbachoff swings for the body but Searlas moves out of range.

Searlas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
BOOM! Searlas lands a beautiful left hook that drops Gorbachoff. Gorbachoff tries to recover but Searlas is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Gorbachoff lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tomba's waist but Tomba gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lin off to one side. Lin fails with the takedown. Lin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tomba sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lin somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Lin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Tomba wants to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Frank Lin. Lin ducks under a wild hook from Tomba. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A punch combination from Tomba misses. Tomba ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lin moves away. Lin fails with a takedown attempt. Lin shoots for a takedown but Tomba saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice takedown defense from Tomba. No joy for Lin on that attempt. Lin darts in looking for a takedown but Tomba gets double underhooks and turns Lin into the cage. Tomba blocks the elbow strike.

Tomba lands with a big right hook that stumbles Lin - he's out on his feet here! Tomba follows up with another monster hook that separates Lin from consciousness! Lin falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Tomba stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
