Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Junior Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Micheal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior Sanchez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Micheal tries to clinch but Sanchez is having none of it. Sanchez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Sanchez dodges the punch combination from Micheal.

Micheal is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sanchez rather than just go for the knockout. Sanchez throws out a head kick that Micheal doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Micheal crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Micheal's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

Anderson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Takamura's calf. Takamura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively. Takamura throws a right and a left that both miss. Anderson dodges the punch combination from Takamura.

It looks like Cub Galloway has been cut. Dengel works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Dengel checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Dengel swings for the body but Galloway moves out of range.

Smirnov is looking to slow Schmidt down with leg kicks. Smirnov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Nights Watch MMA Academy in the buildup to the fight. Smirnov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Smirnov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Nice shot lands for Smirnov. Smirnov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Smirnov looks to land a right hand but Schmidt moved out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanttonen lands with a good body shot. The fight stays on the outside here - Hanttonen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vector will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've been informed that Vector has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Vector avoids the body shot from Hanttonen.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Vector blocks a low kick nicely.
